Yes. Is it a insider build. But how about the valid date? Current build is stand to April 2016? How long the preview build stand. Can we revert to RTM. Sorry i am a newbie
Does the Microsoft Tech branch download ISO updates over time ?? Like, for example I downloaded few days ago, it was 10586.0 So if I download it now again, would it offer 10586.11 ??
I don't think so. If you download right now, it will be the same 10586.0. Microsoft does not offer the latest updates on .iso You get updates through WU or you can install them manually as stand-alone.
I've upgraded to 10586 today and there's some disturbance in the audio. For example if a play a song, the audio sort of cuts of and resumes for few seconds and then becomes right again. Any solutions regarding this? I've realtek onboard.
ISOs don't get refreshed but for major updates (new builds in Win10 case) only ESDs get refreshed with cumulative update later
Something strange after the th2 update (clean install not update). Running on Administrator account (User Account Control: Use Admin Approval Mode for the built-in Administrator account set to disabled). The problem is when right clicking on desktop and select Display Setting or Personalize a security message appear "This app can't open" but after I press close button the Display Setting or Personalize opens without a problem. My question is if I can change something to get rid of that "This app can't open" dialog box. Thanks !
Hey thanks... Learned from your signature that one can turn the ESD into ISO.. Presently, for US ENG, what is the latest ESD (public release off course) and How do I get it (any MS download process ??) Apart from Technet / MSDN paid option ??
I've seen something similar in safe mode with a regular account. Right after log in the "Get Started" app displays an error message, and then going to Settings also pops the same kind of error, but opens normally.
Similar setting (Admin account, Admin Approval Mode disabled, upgrade from 8.1) and exactly same behavior here. The bug must be related to UAC. But not a big deal, after all. Once everything got customized to your preferences, you shouldn't visit Display settings very often.
The Windows update sharing isn't working as it is supposed to for me.. When 10240 came, I started updating my computers (Windows as clean install then running the Auto update for all ms products, like Office).. Once first one was done, I saw others were able to save a lot of time and bandwidth by pulling many common updates from the first PC.. However with this 10586 build, I see some how, others are not pulling the updates from first PC with 10586 build and updates.. Any troubleshooting guide available on how do I force things to happen ?? It seems Office 2016 RTM release requires almost 1Gb update now to began with , need to cut down on that along with Windows updates also for every PC on the same network..
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost\Applicability are now turned into rs1_release (insiders)
It's published by microsoft thru MSDN, Techbench and VLSC, so it's the most "final" version at this moment
