I am having big driver issue with Dell Wifi Drivers. Windows 10586 giving BSOD with latest driver.. (which I think is Microsoft given via update in this year date) Had to roll back to 2013 Broadcom given drivers.
Very messy structure by Microsoft.. They somehow always find ways to make simple things more and more complicated by days.. RTM, then Service Packs.. It was good enough but now, everything seems RTM and update ontop we have insider builds on two different channel of slow ring and fast ring.. What else ??
ahhh im late here i just found about the new build. windows update hasnd notify me about yet. anyway is ther a link for el-gr x64 yet???
Did you run the installer for the drivers, if so don't do that. Extract the installer so you see the drivers, then go to devise MGR and go to the hardware, should be flagged out with no driver, then just use the update driver and point it to the folder where you extracted the installer. It should be ok with just the drivers installed. The 1511 is the worst out of all win 10's from back to 9841.
I think they are using this numerical system so at a glance they can see what updates a person has installed without having to parse his update history. 10586.11 will continue to change as new cumulative updates are installed through WU, I imagine--next update might take it to 10586.15, etc., and so on. I agree about service packs--thought the old nomenclature was adequate. Anyone can simplify things relative to 10, however, by simply dropping out of the Insiders program and turning off both update channels and reverting to WU exclusively. That is all elective, remember. I guess things have to be more complex with Win10 because Microsoft is providing the end user with many more update options than any earlier version of Windows offered.
Hey Guys, I'm sorry if this is an idiotic question, but I would like to know if and how it is possible to Update Windows 10 manually to TH2? And if where do I get the Update. Or is it just use the media creation tool and "upgrade" instead, without losing programs files users domain etc? Thank you for your time and help!
its little confusing im downloading a zip file called sw_dvd5_win_pro_10_1511_64bit_greek.zip its ok or need any convert-decryption??
What's the source of the zip file? It's most likely a .svf file, its to be used with the source iso to recreate the original el-gr one.
No.. Windows 10 since 10240, infact Windows 8.1 itself was coming with drivers for all the devices.. Dell Driver wizered also installs few other software, hence since Windows 8.1, I relied on Windows update to deliver me the drivers. After this 10586, Windows update showed new Wifi driver, hence went ahead it that.. This newest one for WiFi, dated November 2015 is the faulty one it seems.. So now, I am running the dell update process from their website, and their drivers are dated 2013.. That driver works well and infact that is also the same driver which is inside the 10586 build as default.. Somehow, itseems the driver dated 2015, for my broadcom powered 802.11n chip of this Dell Vostro, is not tested properly but pushed into the update. Presently the Laptop with 2013 dated driver set (newest as per dell website) is working smooth..
