What's the source of the zip file? It's most likely a .svf file, its to be used with the source iso to recreate the original el-gr one.
No.. Windows 10 since 10240, infact Windows 8.1 itself was coming with drivers for all the devices.. Dell Driver wizered also installs few other software, hence since Windows 8.1, I relied on Windows update to deliver me the drivers. After this 10586, Windows update showed new Wifi driver, hence went ahead it that.. This newest one for WiFi, dated November 2015 is the faulty one it seems.. So now, I am running the dell update process from their website, and their drivers are dated 2013.. That driver works well and infact that is also the same driver which is inside the 10586 build as default.. Somehow, itseems the driver dated 2015, for my broadcom powered 802.11n chip of this Dell Vostro, is not tested properly but pushed into the update. Presently the Laptop with 2013 dated driver set (newest as per dell website) is working smooth..
Since there is a fog about reason for which 10586 ISOs are pulled, I am not facing a decision making issue.. I am middle of the deployment now (via the 10586 ISO), and I wonder show I stop, wait and watch as why did they really pull this build out from ISO download or proceed with resent of the remaining systems (running mix of Win 7 and Win 8.1)..
With all this mess of MS(roll back windows november update, change media creator tool to 10240) show that windows 10 even with TH2 10586 is not ready yet i think the only stable OS of MS is the windows 7 and still be for more years....
I think they found some showstopper bug But even if that was the case it doesn't make any sense. This non-tell anything about police is clearly not working for MS. So they want us to update, and out of nowhere they don't want anymore. Spoiler lobo11 is back. We will have of dose of fear again
I clean installed WIndows 10 1511 - installed all drivers - got activated online without issue. But after updating KB3118754 fix - some things got unfixed such as all Medium/Tile icons looked pixelated (small icons stretched), other icons were fine. Windows Spotlight would work sometime and will not work other time. Got fed up ! uninstalled the Display Driver and re-installed an older version. Then re-installed the latest driver through windows update and almost everything got FIXED. Icons (Medium/Tile) are now crisp and Windows Spotlight is also working. Did not face any other issue yet - 1511 is smoother.
Although MS is trying to appeal to businesses, Windows 10 really isn't for them with 10's rapid build deployments compared to prioer versions of Windows... Plus most features are consumer-based, not enterprise.
The Enterprise versions are much less consumer oriented. The LTSB branch gets virtually no updates that are not security or bug fix related. The regular enterprise version can be very finely tweaked and the Store can be turned into an internal tool for getting proprietary company apps as needed without a desktop tech or admin having to get involved.
