Copy/paste info into notepad first, then copy/paste info from notepad to forum reply, will not show up in large letters, lol
I tried but couldn't identify what make my PC hot. CPU, RAM, and GPU usages seem to be normal and they are working just fine.
There is many cases that Intel 8th gen. laptop CPU are throttling with RS3 ("CPU throttling at xx % by Windows"), even when app throttling is disabled and there is no power limit for CPU (power setting 100 %). I did not install RS4 yet for my new laptop, but hope that it is fixed with RS4
Same. I also had freezes in which I had to suspend the laptop and resume it again to continue working.
That's interesting news for me because I'm interested in Intel CPU history especially the mobile CPU. Not every generation of Intel CPU is good.
I think that 8th gen. laptop CPU are really great ones. Of course, I want i5-8250u (quad core) instead of i5-7200u (dual core) with 15 W TDP, but new thermal limits are more complicated. People also prefer silent cooling and a long battery life. All that makes it difficult for laptop makers, they just can not give it all.
@robsinbc, If your having problems posting try test thread below, also in my Sig MDL QUICK LINKS https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/forum-function-test-thread.19620/#post-282246
My USB drive won't show on the v1803 Windows Explorer main pane, when I plug it in. An error message appears after some seconds: Title: "G:\" Message:"This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel" It will appear however on the side pane, allowing me to access it via Windows Explorer. Very annoying bug... Just one blocking bug?
Knowledgeable and curious people will likely examine the differences between the failed RTM and final RTM. MS would be better off controlling the flow of information themselves.
