This is really getting into a hardcore denial discussion here...17133.1 is gone, get over it already. Xbox RTM was always on the same build as PC RTM. The only question here is whether 17134 will be the new RTM or not.
If Windows is not anymore in the main strategy of Microsoft why spend so many resources on futile updates? As I see it the crazy update era has come to the end. And now we will have only monthly updates as it used to be. And maybe from time to time a big OS update, so I think this supposed Spring Update (when available) will be the last one big update for a long time, and no more biannual updates.
I only know that when they launch "the new RS4 version" there will always be users who report various errors, as in any previous compilation.
I'm staying on this build. It's 100% stable for my PC, and i actually did game like 8 hours on it and ran some prime95 stress tests. When they release a real RTM that I can trust gonna install that fresh while cursing Microsoft. But can you really be mad at them? Everyone knows Windows gets "dirty" after mere months of OS install age. Who knows, maybe they want to get their users into upgrading the OS every month, and where to start best if not the insiders :\
Nah, been there, done that. I don't feel like alpha-testing the OS for free. If I install the OS on a VM it's useless cause I would only fire it up to run potentially malware/unsafe apps, so there's just the main PC left, which I want 100% stable. I really, really don't want BSODs. I hate them. You can never tell with certainty if it's your PC dying on you or just your alpha OS, so there's no real troubleshooting cause you can't troubleshoot when the very basis, i.e. the OS, is proudly and openly unstable. Then there's also the drivers which might not like the new build, hell no, not gonna deal with that.
