Oh i think i've found another issue which is even bigger...this build is somehow using more cpu when idling. I've noticed my cpu temps when windows 1803 is idling are at least 6 to 10 degrees higher than my prev windows (1511.1478). Did the same test with both fresh installs, no 3rd party software installed and left my pc idle: with 1511 the temps are around 35 to 40 degree while with 1803 are around 45 to 48 degrees...very weird...and there's nothing noticeable running.
Same here, sometimes it connects automatically and others it takes like a minute to connect. Very annoying. I am using the latest Killer 1535 WLAN Driver v12.0.0.468 INF only without the Killer Performance Suite which I despise.
I posted it because all the ones on here going on that this is RTM.....Without any real backing to there posts. RTM will be here when it is here.....
Like the poster above you, even I don’t understand your point. I am believing this is the RTM build with the following backing 1. Buildfeed has not advanced with any newer RS4 build 2. All except one insider stuff has been removed. 3. The only insider reference can be patched with another CU or can be changed Server side 4. The build doesn’t auto-enroll you into insider program 5. Diagnostic feedback is again set to Basic on fresh install 6. Microsoft has NOT explicitly said to expect any future build 7. For slow ring, the update comes upas 1803 Feature update
call it nearly rtm but you can't call this rtm if it needs another update to remove the insider stuff. the finished iso i keep won't be this.
Maybe is a silly thing but did anyone tried to change the date at a fresh installation? I mean, try to set it at 20th April or something for see if that Insider reference dissapears
ISO made from uup files or esd file. Several reasons it's RTM: 1) (C) Changed from 2017 to 2018. 2) It's run smooth better than beta build. 3) Another lp than en-us translated completely. 4) There isn't anymore canary build for RS4. 5) Always what Insiders get, general public get too later.
Only point 4 of your pro list could be considered "proof" of it being "rtm". A list of cons: 1. Insider project still sets some settings 2. Can't install/enable dotnetfx3 by adding features 3. Can't install some more apps i saw mentioned
