any manual way to boot from NTFS in UEFI? (assuming that user have to use ntfs bcoz of big backup files or something else which user also want to keep on the same usb)
if i dont want a clean install just update, does i need to go via .iso install or there will be a "installer / cu / *.msi / *.cab" way to do it ?
My mistake, thanks for pointing out. I'm on the move and forget my reading glasses at my office and saw that compress file icon and reacted to that, and I'm also working via my Tablet ATM with remote to my Office PC. Sorry about that.
Used the MediaCreationTool I just downloaded again and got the old Fall Update and NOT the SpringUpdate from MS Server. I will re-download to a different location again now.
make a folder as you were told and put the cab and mCTool in there, open cmd as Administrator and locate your folder Address:- copy and paste " MediaCreationTool.exe /Selfhost"
Microsoft Edge is starting to develop into a useful browser. I have used it as my primary since I installed 17133.1. The problem is how astoundingly bad the Microsoft Store and extensions for Microsoft Edge seems to be... I have to manually re-install the 1Password Extension for Microsoft Edge daily for it to work. It will suddenly stop working for no reason and a re-install of the extension seems to be the only way to get it working again. I tested a fresh install of 17133.1 in VMWare and 17634 in VMWare just too rule out a faulty installation on my machine but its the same behaviour on those as well....
Hi guys, good morning. Another strange issue I've experienced using both desktop PC as well as Laptop computer, is that booting into "Safe Mode" (after pressing Shift key to call the Advanced Options at the next reboot), pressing key '4', when I reach Windows 10 Desktop, "Tips" app, the one with a light bulb, suddenly opens and closes itself. Of course, when booting in "Normal Mode", that app is perfectly working, so I can't figure out why it doesn't when in "Safe Mode". This problem has been replicated, as said before, on 2 different machines (PC desktop and Laptop), which have, of course, different hardware characteristics. I had such issue even with 16299.15 but it suddenly fixed itself, maybe via cumulative updates on kernel (upgrading from 16299.15 to 16299.334 for example). So, is there anyone who kindly could reproduce this issue too please ? Thanks in advance and have a nice day.
According to some 'read's' here, I assumed that the ISO for the Spring Update is already available at MS Servers! That didn't seem to be a fact! Or could someone provide the official Link to the download of that Spring Creator Update, please? I'm only interested in an original MS Link, nothing else! Thanks.
Have you downloaded the "products.cab" file listed in @abbodi1406 post here: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/windows-10-esd-repository.59082/page-85#post-1423606 This file MUST be downloaded and saved in the same location as the Media Creation Tool .exe file when using the /selfhost option. If you don't have the products.cab file then the media creation tool will just download 16299 no matter what commands you enter.
