Can't you just download official .ESD file from MS, convert to .ISO, mount and run setup.exe from there ?
I could but it's not what I need! I have my points why I need that original Download links for the ISO's!
Can you install/add .NET Framework 3.5 from Windows Features on this vers. of Win ? I can't and I need that runtimes....
When I try to upgrade my Win10 16299.251 ( en-us ) to 17133.1 with MediaCreationTool, I get this message: Thank you
A simple fact is, there some (mostly self-claimed 'experts') posters on this forum who providing info as (let say in this word) true, which simply isn't! So for the availability of the Spring Upgrade ISO for Windows 10. Like the MediaCreationTool and that /Selfhost Parameter command, which simply ends up in getting the old Fall Upgrade! Before posting such s*** those posters should test it at your own first and show a proof that their way is working. MDL is full of that and it's provided most of the time by those which show of all over this forum. And if someone opposes that, those members starting to attack harras accuse and so on those who oppose.
@pisthai where exactly did you see "MS RS4 official ISO links" mentioned in this thread title or recent posts,I haven't?All those who got RS4 did it using "alternative official sources like ESDs".It is your fault for assuming that just because people got RS4 then there must be official RS4 ISO images available too.
I must agree on the testing part ! Always test before you post it here ! But @ this point there are no official iso's so we all have to pull tricks to get hands on this build the best thing to do I believe for pc's like for customers is to wait for official release ! For home Pc's everybody may do as they like
Yeah, @abbodi1406 is quite well known for never testing the methods he posts here . Just blame all others if you fail .
The MediaCreationTool is about to download from Microsoft Server the latest ISOs of Windows 10. Its depend on what way you like to go, one of them simply is to get those apps in ISO Format from the MS Server. There is no choice for to chose the Build No., you just will get the latest official available ISO, if you've chosen the ISO format. Some member claimed that using the MediaCreationTool.exe with the Parameter /Selfhost will provide just that, and that simply wasn't true, his way ended up in getting the old Fall Creator Upgrade instead of the new Spring Creator Upgrade. And till right now (just checked again at MS Server) it's only the Fall Creator Upgrade ready for to download as ISO from MS Server using the MediaCreatorTool.exe /Selfhost!
Oke just A thought ! Could it be it only works as an upgrade of the existing OS that it's running from ?
