Thanks, I am in awe to get the answer from the guy "who truly knows". I love this site where you can converse with the devs of the "tools".
Hi. I'm looking for the most lightweight version of Win 10 for my gaming and productivity PC. I'm confused because I see "Server", "LTSC", "IoT", and "Enterprise". Which one do I get? I'll use KMS for activation.
LTSC has less junk than the Pro version, it is dedicated not to home users. that is why I use this system for a couple of months. and with little modification, it can become more lightweight
is not a desktop/gaming SKU (there will be members saying something else) non LTSC is just useless, use normal Enterprise. For very specific needs it's a good SKU not for gaming. Just go with enterprise or education (has a bit less pre-installed UWP apps).
I'm not sure I understand. You said non-LTSC is useless but in the same post you said LTSC is not good for gaming. So if I shouldn't get non-LTSC but I also shouldn't get LTSC then what do I get? Isn't Enterprise the same as LTSC? I'm so confused.
There is: Enterprise IoT Enterprise = useless, just use normal Enterprise Enterprise 2021 LTSC IoT Enterprise 2021 LTSC And i said just use normal Enterprise or Education (the latter has the same functionality as enterprise but a few pre-installed UWP apps). Normal non LTSC Enterprise can be found on the Business ISOs here: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/windows-10-svf-repository.63324/page-249#post-1742206
I don't see a normal Enterprise on that link, I only see Enterprise LTSC. You said "normal Enterprise is not the same as Enterprise LTSC". Also, you just said the latter (Education) has a few pre-installed UWP apps compared to Enterprise but in a previous post you said "education (has a bit less pre-installed UWP apps)". So which one is it? Does Education have more or less pre-installed UWP apps? Maybe I keep misunderstanding your posts. I feel like I keep reading messages that seem like they conflict with earlier messages so I'm even more confused now. I apologize for being annoying, I'm just trying to understand as I want the most lightweight, least-bloat version of Win 10 possible.
There is literally no LTSC listed in all the folders by that link. Education has less UWP apps pre-installed compared to Enteprise, what's not clear there? Maybe read better and don't loose track because a comma is different.
What wasn't clear is "the latter (Education) has a few pre-installed UWP apps compared to Enterprise" so that sounds like Education has a few pre-installed apps compared to Enterprise, which means it has more pre-installed stuff. Then a later post you said "education (has a bit less pre-installed UWP apps)". To answer your question, that's what's not clear. First it sounded like Education has more pre-installed apps, then it sounded like Education has less. I can read just fine. One post you made it sound like Education has more pre-installed, then another post you said less. Also, one post use said non-LTSC is useless then another post you recommended non-LTSC (ie. normal) even though you just said it was useless the message before, lol. Conflicting information like that has nothing to do with how good or bad I can read. I see you edited your posts as it now says "IoT Enterprise = useless," . But originally it said non-LTSC = useless. Maybe it's not me who has a problem with reading or writing. I truly appreciate the help and quick responses but it's not cool to tell someone else to read better when it's you who, 2 times, wrote conflicting messages.
Try to repeat yourself 10000s of times. On all my replies i have said: I forgot to put in less i think?
OK. What exactly are you referring to with this link? https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/windows-10-svf-repository.63324/page-249#post-1742206 Are you referring to the pastebin link on post # 4976 (user: LostED)?
