Hi, could any one you help confirm that LTSC 2021 supports ray tracing in games out of the box? I've seen some comment on reddit suggesting that despite running LTSC (21H1) with a rtx 3090ti the ray tracing option is greyed out (Spider-man remastered PC). This could very well be a user error but I am about to upgrade my machine to LTSC 2021 for my new 3080 GPU and would like to know if the support is there. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Please check some reviews here: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/going-back-from-11-to-10-ltsc-or-pro.86113/
I'm using LTSC 2021 as my gaming OS and with a 3080 all ray tracing games I have tried so far, worked absolutely fine. but I don't have Spider-Man Remastered yet. -andy-
Is there any way to have the keyboard layout not be changed to ENG-US continously on Win10 LTSC 2021?
If multiple keyboard layouts are installed, there are hotkeys for switching between them. One of them is SHIFT+ALT, unfortunately that combo is often pressed unintentionally, e. g. when gaming. The hotkeys can be reassigned or deleted. Personally, I've always removed them.
Can someone please explain to me what is the main difference between LTSC 2021 and the IoT version? I want to keep my next Windows setup for as long as possible, and I do not like Windows 11 or receiving big feature updates every 6 month. My own "End of Live" date is slowly coming on the horizon.... so this could very well be the last version I'm gonna use. I do not want to be bothered with too much changes the next few years... I could now either install the 2019 LTSC (version 1809) (which will be updated untill 2029) or the new version which will receive updates untill 2027 (or even 2032 for the IoT version) As things are looking for now, if I can keep things running untill 2029, that would probably be long enough for me. Since my hardware is not the most recent, would 1809 LTSC be the better choice? (HP Elite 8300 with i7-3770 processor and 32GB memory) It's not the most recent PC, but still a decent performer. I've tried the 'normal' Windows 10 - 21H2 on it and that runs very smooth. So the other option is the new IoT version (21H2) That would keep me safe until 2032 (if I last that long...) But what is the disadvantage of using IoT instead of the "normal version" of LTSC? And what would be the disadvantage of using the 1809 version? I do not need things like Cortana, the Store or stuff like that. I prefer to install my software myself. Never used the store. Any insight is appreciated!
Licensing (IoT Enterprise 2021 LTSC can be HWID activated, non IoT KMS or KMS38 only) and support (IoT Enterprise 2021 LTSC gets 5 + 5 years support, non IoT only 5 years). Older (reaching EOS sooner) and not optimized for ryzen 2 or 3 (can't remember which one it was) systems.
Thanks for your quick answer! So, if I understand it correct, there would be no difference in the operating sytem itself, regarding the possibilities, software features, and options. It's only the activation and the EOS date that I shoud take into consideration. Does HWID activation mean, that the actication would be automatic, with the 'normal' (not LTSC) Windows 10 licence that's coded in my PC?
you can install the 19045 22h2 enablement, but since the product policy is different in ltsc, you may no get any of the 19045 features. the product policy is why you don't have the weather widget in windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021.
Why do you keep posting this frankencrap? The whole purpose of LTSC is that it doesn't get feature updates and only installing the 22H2 EP to have it show 19045 is just useless.
