I think the biggest differences are KMS vs HWID activation, and 5 years versus 10 years of updates

 

I actually have a legit Windows 10 Enterprise 2015 LTSB (as it was called back then) key. Does anyone know if such keys are applicable to the later version especially LTSC 2021? I would assume so, since normal Enterprise would be (i.e. a key issued in 2015 would work today), but this may be a special case and I have no experience with LTSB/C.

 

@Enthousiast So I take it then that a 2015 key was only good for it and when 2016 came along it no longer was? Same for 2016 keys to 2019 or 2019 keys to 2021? If so, that's a fundamental difference from generic Enterprise, which doesn't use year monikers in the first place but doesn't preclude you from upgrading over the same time period with the same key.

 

The keys of 2016 were already different from 2015, and the keys of 2019 are different from 2016.

On the other hand the keys of 2021 are the same as 2019 (in short the usual MS mess)

 

So if I buy a 2019 key I can use it with 2021?

 

Regarding activation with KMS_VL_ALL_AIO, is the activation permanent or is it good for only 180 days?

 

It would be automatically scheduled for renewal in 180 days. If you don’t like it being in your task scheduler, you can try kms38 by massgravel on GitHub

 

Hello everyone,

As Windows 10 21H2 officially supports only up to 12th generation CPUs from Intel, has anyone installed LTSC 2021 on a computer with an Intel 13th generation CPU? Any limitations besides scheduler for efficiency cores, which can be disabled and would in turn lower voltage? Should we install Windows 10 22H2 instead if buying 13th gen Intel? thanks

Should I consider en-us_windows_10_iot_enterprise_ltsc_2021_x64_dvd_257ad90f.iso the official iso file to grab an "N" version of lstc 2021?
In other words, Windows 10 Enterprise N LTSC 2021 does not exist? I have to look towards an IoT version?

Enthousiast: I have downloaded Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021 and burnt onto DVD. Is it possible to change it to Enterprise iOT LTSC 2021 and how can it be done? If the version is in Chinese Language, can it worked as well?

This question has been answered on many an occasion on this thread, a few pages back.
It depends on the key one is using to make an activation.
