I don't know for sure but I think the only programs you can't use on LTSC versions are those that specifically require MS Store. Even then, you can install the store if you really want to (Although it defeats the purpose of installing LTSC).

acer-5100: Thanks for the reply! I have seen LTSC 2022 in the internet but just in zh-cn language and can be downloaded in Microsoft store direct. I just want to know does zh-tw language exist as well.

    Hi,

    Something doesn't seem right..

So I installed IoT LTSC on my laptop a few months ago.

    Laptop. 27GB space used
Edition Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC
    Version 21H2
    OS build 19044.3086
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19041.1000.0

Today I installed IoT LTSC on desktop, used the same ISO but used W10UI to integrate updates : Updates include LCU, Out Of Box Experience (OOBE) Update, NDP481 Base (), Critical DU for .NET35, DU for SafeOS, Windows 10 version 22H2 Enablement Package (KB5015684), DU for Sources 3203.
    https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...h1-22h2-vb_release.80763/page-16#post-1571109 - #319

However the space used is 100GB as opposed to 27GB on the laptop ! Its the first time I have integrated updates to an ISO, the ISO was abit bigger (5GB v 4.7GB) but the difference in space used is huge. Have I done something wrong ? Also could i just use the original ISO and apply the updates manually, post install ?

    Desktop. 100GB space used
Edition Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC
    Version 21H2
    OS build 19044.3448
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19044.1000.0

Found I had a 70Gb Hibernation file ! Disabled Hibernation and its all good.

However I noticed I had integrated Windows 10 version 22H2 Enablement Package by mistake. Can I uninstall it, or it doesn't do any harm and leave it as is

    Windows 10 version 22H2 Enablement Package (KB5015684) - 19041.1799
Added October 25. 2022 (Originally released July. 25. 2022 NOW PUBLIC!!!)

This new 22H2 EP is NOT applicable to (IoT) Enterprise 2021 LTSC!!!

How did you manage to do that without noticing? It is not offered on WU and W10UI skips it for 2021 LTSC.

In the past using a EP to early or on unsupported builds it caused problems when the EP officially was released.

If the EP is selected in installed updates/remove updates you can see if it can be uninstalled.

I think 22H2 EP was effectively ignored

@Enthousiast, can that update be applied to LTSC 21H2 and IoT LTSC 21H2? While maintaining LTSC or IoT LTSC designation for support life purposes?

Also, I seem to remember that there is a way to "update" LTSC 21H2 to IoT LTSC 21H2, but I can't put my finger on it at the moment. If there is such a thing, Can you please point me to it? TIA

    Cheers and Regards

Oh dear, my post have been merged with a massive thread....
Some context may be needed here in that case. Unbeknownst to me at the time, I got updated to 22H2 which caused me no end of misery. I've now reinstalled ltsc 2021, which of course solved my issues. Obviously, I want to avoid going thru the misery and hope to block any such future update.
    Thanks

LTSC will not upgrade to 22h2 !!
It will stay on 21h2 forever ;)

Mine seems to have just recently, which caused all sorts of grief. I'm not sure why...

The whole purpose of Enterprise LTSC is that it NEVER will get a feature update aka upgrade on WU, it doesn't even exist on the WU servers.

Which is what I thought too, yet somehow mine updated. I suppose it's possible I clicked on something absentmindedly....(not really a stretch...)

    From your other thread:
Are you sure that you installed the Enterprise LTSC 2021 SKU before, and not the regular Enterprise edition?

At least I thought I was. That said, I was in there the other day when my son was updating his computer, and I think I clicked on 'update'....
Maybe that was a bad idea....:rolleyes:o_O

If it really was LTSC there would not be any upgrade performed, IF it was offered it would end in an error.
