GVLK for IoT Enterprise 2021 was only added with a recent CU, it didn't exist before. So, if your media used for upgrade is older than the build the GVLK was added, it is, of course, not known to Setup, and you cannot use it. Either create upgrade media containing this CU, or, use the default key from product.ini for upgrade, then install latest CU, then change to the GVLK.
Just upgrade to normal LTSC 2021 you can change key to IoT LTSC after upgrade (and updating if you need KMS activation) there's still some time until 2027-01, using IoT currently is superfluous
Thanks @Carlos Detweiller and @abbodi1406 for your responses and seems considering IoT may have been a bit premature on my part. It's good to know the cause of the problem I had and will use your advice and suggestions when I plan my next upgrade.
My apologies, it's actually an LGA 1150 with an Intel Pentium G32xx series processor.Mainly usage are light browsing and working on some office documents. I'm wondering about the differences between 21H2 and 2016 LTSB. I checked, and it seems that the support for 2016 LTSB ended in 2021 but has extended support until 2026. Should I go ahead and install 2016 LTSB? Regarding telemetry, I plan to disable it at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\DataCollection by setting it to 0. Are there any other telemetry or services that I should disable? Can you recommend any scripts or applications to help with this? I just want to ensure there are no extra services displaying advertisements , consuming processor resouces and using up my 4G data bandwidth from my phone.I have a limit for 4G tethering from my telecommunications carrier. Thank you for the link. Which update should I download if I install it? a0334f31ea7a3e6932b9ad7206608248f0bd40698bfb8fc65f14fc5e4976c160 *en-us_windows_10_iot_enterprise_ltsc_2021_x64_dvd_257ad90f.iso There are different types of KB updates, like LCU, Out Of Box Experience (OOBE) Update, NDP35-48, and NDP35-481. Which one should I install? Regarding antivirus, will Windows Defender provide sufficient real-time protection when I'm offline? For instance, when I plug in a thumb drive that may contain malicious .docx files? Is Windows Defender a separate software, and does it require Windows Updates to keep Windows Security up to date while preventing Window update auto-enable the telemetry that been disable ?
Worth reading through SiSyPHuS guidlines/instructions. HardeningKitty will do most of the leg work work for you. EDIT: Instructions for 21H2 are in german only so you need to translate and keep in mind that file paths may be different between regional versions of windows.
I'm on Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 21H2 and I'm trying to install Windows Calculator using winget: Code: winget install 9WZDNCRFHVN5 --source msstore On "Starting package install..." it fails, error shown is: Failed to install or upgrade Microsoft Store package. Error code: 0x8024500c Can you help me fix this and tell me what is causing the error, thanks.
You first need to install MS Store into LTSC, e.g., by running the following command in PowerShell as admin: wsreset -i
Is it not easier to just run any free portable calculator rather than go to the effort to put back the original (but removed) Windows one?
Hello. Is it possible to convert en-us_windows_10_iot_enterprise_ltsc_2021_x64_dvd_257ad90f.iso to other language iso? e.g. to de-de?
