Hi to all, i download an ISO of Enterprise LTSC because the IoT is only in english. I don't clearly understand how to convert the Enterprise into IoT. And after that i activated it with MAS, the next time i need only to install it, change the product key and go online and magically it will be activated?
Run MAS and select HWID and it will switch it to IoT Enterprise 201 LTSC before HWID activating it. Next time just run MAS HWID again, then all will be done for you,
You can try to switch manually by slmgr -ipk <IoT Enterprise 2021 LTSC key> or offline set-ediiton the install.wim to IoT Enterprise 2021 LTSC at forehand. or use the $OEM$ folder and the swiitches from MAS.
This may be a general question but.... When installing Windows 10 LTSC 2021 and change it to IoT LTSC with the key in CMD, Windows Update does not always install all updates correctly and sometimes they end up failing the installation. For that, installing Windows 10 IoT LTSC does not cause any problems. Windows Update it's ok. Trying to change the language is partial - the system has the changed language, for that WinRE and similar things no longer. The same for some applications, also have no changed language or application name. How to live?
fully update Enterprise LTSC index in your language with W10UI, create virtual editions from it install IoT Enterprise LTSC and check if everything is fine
How to get these files, I am unable to use Windows Store on my IoT Enterprise LTSC, getting PUR authentication problem when downloading any app from store
check your version, build the same ISO on UUP dump, open it with 7zip and copy your files from install.wim
Hello, please help me make a choice )) 1. Licencing and lifecycle are clear. But what is the defference in installed OS between: - installing "IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021" from the "IoT..." iso; - installing "IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021" from the "non-IoT..." iso and switching to IoT by key changing? Does that answer (about Sandbox and Reserved storage features) for my question or that about only licensing and does not depend on the selected iso? Maybe there are any other features that depend on the choice of iso? 2. What option is more fully translated: - installing "Enterprise LTSC 2021" the specific language; - installing "Enterprise LTSC 2021" en-US and then installing the specific language pack?
should be no difference if LCU is the latest one (not original 1288) Reserved storage is the only missing "feature" in IoT version (you don't need it) ISO in specific language is always fully translated
IoT is a virtual edition, just install regular Enterprise LTSC and change edition or create IoT Enterprise LTSC virtual edition using create_virtual_editions.cmd from uup-converter
What about the update support till 2032 do all LTSC editions have this? I read that only IoT LTSC had it.
I tried it with the "create_virtual_editions.cmd" tool, but it always get this: Code: === Extracting ISO file . . . "C:\multi_convert_virtual\en-us_windows_10_enterprise_ltsc_2021_x86_dvd_9f4aa95f.iso" === Checking distribution Info . . . === Configured Virtual Options . . . UseDism AutoStart AutoEditions: IoTEnterprise All chosen editions already exists in the source No operation performed. Press 0 or q to exit.
It says that edition is already in the iso Also try this on fully updated iso, works fine for me It's faster to install Enterprise LTSC and change edition with IoT key
