in ltsc eval (without n) there is shellexperiencehost folder in systemapps with informations in manifest file: action center, battery, network, mtcuvc(volume) etc. i'll try to add this package to n version
NEVER use N versions anyway, they are not a special edition, they only exist because EU law wants them to exist.
I've never had these same problems on LTSC N versions, but I generally wouldn't recommend using N versions. I think I tested it with a VM using a compressed VMX file and the difference between a fully installed normal os and an N version was only like 200-250mb or so on LTSC. That is really not that much and it saves you the hassle of having to download dll codecs for audio files and such. Really, it removes all media files and the media player, AFAIK. It shouldn't do all that extra stuff that you're having issues with.
on ltsc n there are no problems (they have shellexperiencehost). problem is on ltsc n eval. maybe Microsoft forgot to add these package to this specific sku?
Those problems you mentioned (boot looping, taskbar icons malfunctioning, searching circling, etc.) will be gone once it had been updated. Did you change language? For 19044.1288, I have boot looping issue only. OK. This is my last reply on this question. After all this is not "Evaluation" thread.
clean install en-us 1288 with unattend, install official 4957 online, icons still not working (search works)
ltsc n eval 2021 is only sku without shellexperiencehost package, what causes taskbar icons not working. solution: add that package (dism.log is good teacher) after adding package taskbar icons are ok - confirmed ps. only thing left: which missing package is responsible for mp4 thumbnail? (don't want to install media feature pack)
Miracast doesn't work in LTSC 2021. I need a detailed guide on how to fix it. With troubleshooting steps
Why N still exist? I think it was a requirement on XP era, but I don't know why is still in W10 or W11 and how it works for now. I know es-MX ISO don't contain N editions because is not meant to be used in Europe (es-ES yes for example)
K editions ended with v1511 (the 10-years Commission rule ended) https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1808135/
