Few days setting up my Win 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 19044.4957 that I "built" from a regular Iot enterprise ISO for, if that's the right way to put it. Anyhow, I get an error now. The only situation when this error occurs (from what I could see) is when I go to Firewall advanced settings to create a new inbound or outbound rule. When I have to choose the program path for the new rule, when I press "Browse" button, I get the following message; C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop is unavailable. If the location is on this PC make sure the device or drive is connected or the disc is inserted, and then try again. If the location is on a network, make sure you're connected to the network or internet, and then try again. If the location still cant be found, it might have been moved or deleted Pressing OK on that warning and the trying to go to Desktop in the explorer window doesn't work, I get the same warning. Going to other apps in "Open" menu and clicking on Desktop icon works normally (shows the content of my Desktop), checked it now in Notepad, Photoshop, Notepad++, VS Code. I can't think of too many "legacy" Windows prompts where I have the "Open" option, I tried in Event Viewer with open saved log, Desktop shows, same with update drivers "browse my computer for drivers" ....so don't really know why this only occurs in firewall settings situation, and what could be the reason. This PC still hasn't been plugged to the internet yet, if that info is of any relevance. EDIT - checking this on my second Win 10 machine, same location (advanced firewall settings, new inbound rule, open path), right clicking on the Desktop icon in the Open window dialogue, gives me the location "C:\Users\Me" However, on this new Win 10 machine, the Desktop properties show that location points to "C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile" Not sure why or how did this got changed.
Okay but I cancelled because after 4 hours still extraction going on. I will try again later. Anyway I edited my message and already mentioned this with screenshot but why not showing in your reply?
Reboot, check for leftover mount and/or extraction folders and report back if there were any, when it halts for this long again, please try it once more but start W10UI in an elevated cmd prompt, so you can see what it is doing at that point.
Yes working now. But it's very slow like using below 10mb/s disk speed on my SSD. It's adding rollupfix now but from 10% to 34% took nearly 5 minutes. Anyway thanks.
I would check the hardware, the script just runs commands and depending on the hardware specs and its state it will use some time. - Check RAM - Check SSD - and such And don't close the cmd window before you copied all txt from it to a txt file. ps, what source ISO did you use?
Ok will keep in mind. Well my laptop is very old only upgraded SSD maybe that's why progress is slow. I'm using this "en-us_windows_10_enterprise_ltsc_2021_x64_dvd_d289cf96.iso"
Wrong IoTEnterpriseS being in ESU licences doesn't mean it will get the ESU support it's just template addition with IoTEnterprise
