For some time now I've noticed that that Windows Modules Installer Worker (TiWorker.exe) starts at every system boot or user logon; it doesn't happen if booting in safe mode. Below CBS.log, it seems related to language settings and i'm pretty sure that before some CU ago it didn't happen.

I can't get my head around it... any advice? Thank You.

Now that the build is mostly complete (POST & memtest are good), I need to decide whether to update the BIOS before installing the OS. With your B860M, did you get the F5 or F6 BIOS update and is it matched with LTSC 21H2? I go back to the concern I had with Gigabyte's BIOS update page for F6 saying, "Please use Windows 11 24H2 Ent 26100.2454 or after to get optimal performance." The earlier F5 update doesn't say that. Could a BIOS update ever make a specific version of an OS less compatible in some way?

Normally a bios update enlarge compatibility. They recommend using W11..it's not a mandatory

I was using F5 and I updated to F6, when it came out.
I don't see/feel any difference, all is working fine, as before the update.
only weird thing is, with F5 HWiNFO reported a WHEA error about once a month. that doesn't happen anymore with F6 :)

Thanks, that's good to know. I'll probably try F6 then.

I've installed LTSC 2021 successfully and used the command in this post to switch to IoT. Winver showed it worked, but when I used KMS-VL_ALL as suggested, it set it back to regular LTSC. Running the IoT command again deactivates it.

When you run KMS activation on IoT Enterprise 2021 LTSC when on a <19044.2788 build it will revert to Enterprise 2021 LTSC, when you run KMS on a build >19044.2788 then IoT Enterprise 2021 LTSC will accept the KMS activation.

For KMS activation on IoT Enterprise 2021 LTSC, yes.

On IoT Enterprise 2024 LTSC KMS is supported out of the box:)

I've updated to 19044.5737 and it still does the same thing. The command will convert it to IoT but it will show as unactivated. If I activate it, it reverts to regular LTSC.

That worked! Appreciate the link. For some reason I missed that thread and was just using the one I'd found here previously.

Here are all updates listed, needed for an uptodate ISO: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1571109

When you online install the LCU then WU will still offer these updates:

    Code:
    Defender updates + MSRT
    windows10.0-kb5011048-x64_NDP481_Base_9166.1.cab
windows10.0-kb5011064-x64_NL_NDP481_XX_LP_10.0.1.8028.cab <=== the LP for your language
    Windows10.0-KB5056578-x64-NDP481_CU_9310.1.cab

And probably the winre update tool to update the winre.wim.

Best is to create a 100% uptodate ISO at forehand, using W10UI and the linked updates and use that one for clean installing from boot.
