October updates were the last non-ESU ones, everyone got them. If November updates will install, ESU is working. The message is faux if you have ESU activated.
Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021 here, since this thread is about LTSC 2021, so as far as I know no ESU related. What I wanted to point out is that, assuming I haven't missed anything and just as reported by the date circled in red in the sshot, the updates were performed on October 15th, so outside the deadline established on October 14th, but through Update Manager they were performed anyway.
It is not like flicking a switch. Even with this message present (which is wrong on LTSC anyway), non-LTSC builds will always get updates until October 2025. These do not fall under ESU. It's exactly like Windows 7 will get updates until January 2020 even with no Bypass present. The message means that you will get no further updates beyond October 2025, unless ESU is applied. But they do not check for commercial ESU, so, the message stays. Irrelevant for LTSC, where the message should have vanished again.
Thanks for your further details, but sorry if I don't realize why to talk about ESU in a thread related to LTSC...
can confirm. all my IoT LTSC 2021 installations, which showed the out of support message, are back to "you're up to date" -andy-
I'm using LTSC and the same thing is happening to me. The "end of support period" warning is still appearing.
It won't go mysteriously away, it probably needs an update of some sort but MSFT doesn't seem to be in a hurry to fix it
I'm also having the "Your version of Windows has reached the end of support" issue on machines running Windows 10 IoT LTSC 2021 but it isn't appearing on a machine that got the cumulative update installed less than a hour ago Spoiler
Out of curiosity, I just did a fresh install on my testbench, IoT Enterprise 2021 LTSC x64. No EoS message after applying the latest update. My main machine however continues to display EoS though, something I hope will be remedied in the next update. I do have a TrueImage backup of my OS drive prior to the latest update so I might try that and see if I get the same error again after updating.
Not sure if it's just me but have a few PCs running win 10 21h2 ltsc iot, the ones with the updated bios that includes the new ca 2023 secure boot update thingy have stopped showing the end of support message, the ones that have no update still continue to show end of support....hmmmm Scratch that....all showing normal now, must be a delayed on certain setups.
The message would appear if you installed any 2025-06 CU or later, for all editions it get fixed server-side for non ESU-supported editions via OneSettings however, that depends on unforeseen factors to work on x86 LTSC, can you check the timestamp for "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\OneSettings\UsoSettings.json" (if exist)?
same here. checked for updates in the afternoon yesterday Oct. 16 on IoT LTSC 2021 and the EOS support message went away hmm, weird. deleting this "UsoSettings.json" file (w/ the Oct. 2025 CU installed) on LTSC 2021 causes the EOS message to appear but recently checking for updates afterwards makes that EOS message vanish
