How can I repair the installation, I tried running from the iso file but it got to 100% then a pop up came up saying it couldn't continue?

Unfortunately, the May update doesn't install for those of us using older UEFI BIOS versions. The update fails because there isn't enough space in the BIOS/NVRAM.
Checked the manufacturer website for new BIOS update, or reported it there? Can't imagine companies leaving this not fixed for win 10 users.

Extracting cab from msu process taking more than one hour which is unusual and no activity of lz expansion utility in task manager. What should I do now?
The time it takes depends on; - hardware specs - AV interfering Disable AV and see what happens. On my systems it doesn't take that long, few minutes tops, i have defender disabled and run it on i7 11700 / i9 11900F hardware, on my i7 8700 it takes a huge amount more time.
