only difference is removed apps and long term support. otherwise its the same, since you can already remove all apps, and for testing it doesnt matter for long term support, so i would say it doesnt make any difference actually.
EnterpriseS 1809 will be simply Enterprise with Store/Apps removed, they never released a Preview for that specific channel.
Dislike removing things. They just get readied with every update. My point was only that I wished (wishful thinking) they also had LTSC for testing too.
Not sure where that rumour is from but no Update ever added anything back. Do not confuse with Feature Updates.
u can chopped down windows with MSMG Toolkit but when u update Rs5 after 6 months j will again have to do that.
During the beta? Same as upgrading from Spring update to Fall update; everything you remove comes back because its how Microsoft rolls out another edition of Windows 10. Let's not get hung up on the terminology. It should be implied that with each new beta (insider release) you're upgrading the OS to that edition. - That was my point.
no need to use msmg. uninstall all apps with powershell Get-AppxPackage | Remove-AppxPackage there is a registry method to turn cortana into simple search menu like ltsc. 5 minute work maximum. there, you just turned, home/pro into ltsb. the only good thing ltsb have, is long term support and no worries of every 6 month upgrade.
I knew this command but when I used it I got a error 5 code, strange. But I want to remove all the apps (including store) but I don't want to type the code for each app, is there a code to remove all the apps with just one code?
I really love LTSB 2016 and I think it's the best modern replacement to Windows 7 really. I'm curious about 1809 LTSC but I think that they have changed to much since 1607 and a lot of older applications is now gone and deprecated. Feels like LTSB 2016 1607 is the last good release before they changed things to much (I have a hunch on where things are going with Windows 10 and I don't like it) Here's to hoping that my hunch is wrong and that LTSC will be the next best thing!
I feel the same. I have tried every release of win10 but always went back to LTSB 2015 (when no 2016 was out) or 2016 (now). Let's hope next LTSC won't be bloated with some of the resource hogging features/services.
