Why argue over a torrent, just download the iso here: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...3-ltsb-2016-2015-server-2016-techbench.77028/ 2015 LTBS, 2016 LTSB and more iso's available, in all possible languages.
Arguing? Who's arguing? For the people who have less than a broadband connection (slow speeds) or unstable connections (3rd world countries), and finally, for those who don't want to then take the added time to patch a file and would rather have it done from the start.
Again you r confused. when you download a full 17 GB torrent then it'll download at faster speed compared to when you download only of its 1 GB file. there is a reason for that, bittorrent mechanism prioritize to downloads the most healthy parts first and prioritize to seed the most weak parts first. Due to this a when you download a 17GB torrent it appears speed is fast bcoz it downloads the most healthy parts from all the files. but actually for the specific 1 GB part the download time is going to be same whether you download whole torrent or the selected ones. selecting and deselecting files only take few clicks, its not a trouble. and due to the nature of bittorrent it is better for over all good if users share one torrent rather make many torrents.
Not confused. You just listed the reason why it was better to have a single, small torrent, but OK. -- To each their own. -- I know when I had a slow, unstable connection, waiting for a 3 GB file (or torrent) was preferred over waiting for 17 GB. That is my target audience. Folks with slow and perhaps unstable connections.
Yep, you somehow managed to get the complete opposite meaning from my post. Looks like you missed the point. Your target audience would be better with a more healthy swarm.
Is anyone else experiencing a black screen when trying to boot this installation. I have tried putting in my W8 DISC and even added Ubuntu to check if it was my PC and they went through. But this is not going through.
This sounds like a driver display issue. This is one of the rare times when making your own distro may be what you need. I suggest you look into using this tool here https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/msmg-toolkit.50572/
Microsoft will tell you there is not much difference between the N (or NK) editions and regular editions... ie... Missing Windows Media Player, Non-free-codecs, and such. Microsoft will even tell you that you can restore everything by installing the Windows Media Package. While I personally have never had any issue with the N editions or after adding the package (that I can recall), I have given up trying to claim there is no concerning difference, simply because of all the other folks, I continue to run into who claim there are still issues (enough not to ignore). Even folks here on MDL have gone into outlining how there can be issues when using the N (or NK) additions. -- For simplicity, going forward it just became easier to recommend the regular editions and be done with it.
I agree which is why there are download links for them here and elsewhere. Those who seem to run into issues, from my perspective, usually are hardcore gamers. I'm not a hardcore gamer and the games I have installed into Windows N never ran into any issues. But I digress, even though I never had any issues, I continue to stumble over folks who claim they do (enough not to ignore)
If its a case of copying and registering a few dll's then thats not hard work. Think the only one that would affect me is Enhanced Video Renderer(evr.dll).
