Is it possible to install LTSB updates to non-LTSB enterprise version? Or can you convert LTSB Enterprise installation -> Enterprise installation? I dont have 2016 installed I'm just curious
Pretty sure that's a no, GAC 14393 builds are not targeted by the updates anymore (not applicable). Theoretically you might be able to, by ISO, but you'd lose the updates (as you cannot have a non-LTSC 14393 ISO with the updates integrated. Lost case, just use the LTSB 2016 until next year, when it will be EOL'd.
I recently found a few "bugs" on Windows 10 LTSB 2016/Server 2016: - The Microsoft Store App will no longer work, even after updating it to the latest version: You will see the Welcome Screen, which already tells you to upgrade your Windows version but it's when you click an app that the Store will tell you that your "Browser is outdated". I don't think there is a patch for this? - Spotify does not work since v1.2.11, which was released in 2023. It will give you a dll error - Microsoft [Office] 365 doesn't work anymore. The last version, which worked was v2509. This is quite strange since it is the "SetThreadDescription" function, which is seemingly missing, although this function was added in 1607? Microsoft explicitly states that Server 2016 is supported till February 2026 (v2602) with Feature Updates
@abbodi1406 possible bypass for ltsb 2016 64bits , 1607 = same as server 2016 Ltsb 2016 eol are october 2026 Server 2016 = january 2027
Bypass for something not known or implemented? they either will just stop releasing the updates for LTSB 2016 in those 3 months, or remove EnterpriseS from update.mum
