We all have seen complete UK hospital systems hijacked by ransomware a few years ago, and many, many, many private people who got all their files blocked with ransomware, just to name one threadt. And all only because some IT Departments and private persons didn't feel the need to install the updates that fixed the exploit
Most of the time it is users that are the security threat to the OS. Clicking on phishing attachments and such. You really have the fear of the black box, I do not and have not updated LTSB 2016 since its release. Seem to be able to still post OK here. Regards
Wouldn't confuse personal luck with a general recommendation . Keeping the OS and the main browser up-to-date is mandatory for avoiding unneeded attack vectors.
Would someone kindly upload the updated LTSC 2019 Japnese iso of possible? SInce this one is kinda hard to find, I only got the old one

the SSU would not even come up for me in Windows Update for some reason, had to do it manually. it's because it took me a long time to get it to work on a 600Kbps metered connection. (I had to spend time manually downloading and doing hash checks) I now have broadband and I'll be working on it today. I do not recommend trying to use Windows Update on metered mobile connections. you get dropped packets and everything and it keeps failing and you just end up wasting data.
SSU never come individually through WU since version 1709 it's bundled and companion with latest cumulative update
You won't even see it in WU or "Update History" either, it's a hidden install, you will only see it appear in "Installed Updates".
You always need to update your system, the official public current SSU/CU will update to 17763.134 and the current IP ReleasePreview Ring offers updates to 17763.165.

Thank you. I might actually try it, been having some problems with my current LTSC version. I'll see if this version has those issues.
