That other case was in a pre 17763.1 Insider Preview, following the winaero guide to move the pagefile, all works for me, in VMWare v14.
I need to do it into an unattended mode so I use a command line: wmic.exe pagefileset create name="D:\pagefile.sys"
Can someone tell me what that command report in LTSC ? wmic os get caption (gets OS name and edition)
Install KB4476976 to resolve pagefile issue. This update is available for Insiders only but can be found somewhere around.
Win 10 Pro/Home has some serios problems with disk usage 100% . There are a lot of complains on the Internet about computers that are getting very slow /freeze because of this issue. And there is no real solution to work for a long time. Can anyone tell me if Win LTSC 2019 has this problem too (disk usage 100% , the computer very slow)? thanks.
LTSC is the same as all other 1809 sku's, it only has no cortana, no edge and no uwp apps, plus the long term servicing. I don't know of any of the bugs that causes freezing, never seen it happen.
I never heard complaining about LTSB either but there are a lots of complaining about Win 10 Pro/Home regarding this issue (disk usage 100% )… nobody can find a real solution that works for long time. Manufacturers (HP, etc) blame Microsoft ( win 10 OS, apps that run in the background, Office, OneNote, Defender, Firewall, etc) , Microsoft doesn’t say anything, and in the meantime more and more people continue to complain.
DX11 apps crash for me. They go to load, hook DX11, then crash to the desktop. Does anybody have any idea how to stop this? I've had it happen across different hardware and different driver versions and generations.
So there is no answer on how to remove "Search with Bing" from Notepad? While I am prepared to use Notepad++, I think that it would be great if there is a way to remove "Search with Bing" from Notepad.
I use LTSB 2016 and I also have this problem. I've tried tweaks to reduce telemetry and disable automatic maintenance and I've had improvements but it did not fully resolve. On a Windows 8.1 PC with Windows Update enabled I see the same problem. I suspect it is related to telemetry services.
Because this does not occur in 100% of the time. If I am not mistaken the "System" process is responsible.
I've not had any issues with system performance on LTSC 2019, been using it a couple months. Things always look good on the performance tab of Task Manager. I did have an issue with the Intel AHCI/NVMe controller driver giving me a system error occasionally, but rolled back to the previous release and it cleared up. Seems the Intel disk controller driver that released this month has some kind of problem, at least on my system.
Of course there is, you can change default search engine in Notepad++ preferences (settings/preferences) and even add your own... Read more if you want to get more "informed". Also, nobody puts a knife under your throat to force you using a feature that you don't like. just my opinion...
