Appart from some services it's all the same tweaks. There is like 2 GPO settings more than LTSC, and 2 GP Security settings to do. There are less services in Server so it's faster to set up (if you don't take "automated task" route and go through each service manually). The only thing is, in Server some features are disabled by default and you have to enable manually, like audio service, wifi etc. takes eternity...like 30 sec For ex click on the volume bar in notification area and it will ask you if you want to enable audio service, or type services.msc and enable Wlan service for wifi... Also there are few applications that you won't be able to install (they want you to buy the "business app"), but most of the time there are workarounds for that. On a SSD both OS are quite fast to install you can try out the one you like the most... Exactly my thoughts...there is way more crapola in LTSC than LTSB. It was expected because LTSB has been quite popular, far beyond their goal I think. That's why I finally made the jump from LTSC...And as soon as it was installed and rebooted faster on my machine, I knew it was the best move. It's (almost) exactly like W10...less the bloat. I don't need those mainstream features, don't even want to ever look at it. Maybe MS made this to play tetris on ATM's, or be able to call friends from the hearbeat machine at the hospital... Anyway, at the end it all depends on what for and how you use your computer, they are both good OS. My main machine is used for heavy and particular tasks, but on my laptop still not updated to 1809 I don't really care installing pro/ltsc/server, also because I know I can switch/upgrade from one to other without problem (but requires few tweaking to avoid having). I tried the experiment Performance-wise with a recent machine you won't have that much of a difference between Pro/LTSC or Server... And real privacy is an utopia anyway, when one have a phone, google account, facebook, hotmail address, youtube channel, etc. Unless you live in a cave (and even so...) We just do this on principle...
Enterprise LTSC is a perfect daily driver, at its core there is no difference with the Current Branch. Microsoft just doesn't want anyone to use it and will spread nonsense about it. What surprised me is that so money people believe it.
I've got much less complaints with LTSC than Pro. Really happy I made it my go to version. So far it can do everything I've wanted it to. Don't see where there's anything missing I actually need. I think MS discourages people from using LTSC because it goes against their current business model. So they spread a lot of FUD about it. They only do the LTSC thing because corporate customers demand it. Thank you corporate customers.
Usually the save hotkey is CTRL+S - maybe it's not correctly displayed in your language. IMO, hotkeys should NEVER be localized.
Are you saying LTSB 2016 is better than LTSC 2019? In that case should I use LTSB 2016? Also It's either going server, and enabling stuff vs going ltsc and disabling things lol My PC was recently built as a gaming and content creation station. I'm usings SSD. So what would be your recommendation for doing the least tweaking, while having the least bloatware lol
No didnt say that...LTSC is better, more recent/up to date ...But I was a bit disappointed with it, too much expectation maybe so finally jumped to Server and happy now Both server and LTSC are good (and almost same), make your choice
Enterprise 2019 LTSC build 17763.1 has N, the re-release of Enterprise 2019 LTSC build 17763.107 doesn't. https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...prise-n-ltsc-2019.76325/page-102#post-1481741
Thanks for the info @Enthousiast , does it mean the magnet link for the LTSC iso above is build 17763.107?
Though it's not allowed to post links to torrent websites, the picture shows it's build 17763.107 but i can't tell if it's the original.
This. It annoys me having to discover the "select all" hotkey in Excel for different languages. I work in 5 different languages. Gets me every time. It would be great to have it not localized, much more easier. Cheers.
Just guessing but it seems more like a MS policy. I doubt they see it as an issue, I'm lost as why they ever decided to do it this way. Cheers.
Because it says evaluation on the ISO file you apply the SVF patch to, so I thought you couldn't rearm it.
