[DISCUSSION] Windows 10 Enterprise (N) LTSC 2019

one question. i installed windows 10 ltsc in dual boot for gears of war 4.
shortcut appeared in start but game quitted after logo, i entered at installed apps and selected reset, now shortcut vanished , i reinstalled the game, same thing, i reinstalled windows, same thing, no shortcut.

 

Did you add the store? Might be needed .

 

its not needed, has all the files inside the folder game.

 

You might need to install the Store, when i was trying to play Forza Horizon 3 and 4, wasn't working until i've installed the Store.

 

how i said, worked, now dosent work

Might still have UWP runtime dependencies which get installed with the store package .

I want to make an updated ISO of LTSC 2019 with the recent patches. The process is not a problem, I just need to not miss any files. Can you confirm me that I just need them :

- KB4470788 (SSU)
- KB4476976 (Cumulative Update from 01/22)

Or did I miss some few ones ?

From what I understand:
1. The SSU is a must before the CU. But if and when a new SSU comes out, does one have to integrate all the available SSUs, or is the latest one enough?
2. I don't see the word "cumulative" in the title of flash updates, but I remember reading a post here that you need only the latest flash update, similar to CUs. Am I right?

 

We only need the last SSU, CU and Flash update, The DotnetCU Rollup Fix still needs the previous DotnetCU.

 

@Enthousiast Also, since MS doesn't include an "ssu" or "servicing stack update" in the update name, how does one tell the difference? All I gathered is that in the Update Catalog, in Install Resources, this latest ssu has a "Must be installed exclusively: Yes", while CUs have "No" there.

Is it normal to have over 70 processes running in LTSC? This browser is not quite as lean as I hoped. (I hardly have anything installed)

Another thing... When I load an app like Firefox or Photoshop, my CPU usage sometimes spikes over 10 degrees for a few seconds and then it goes back down. This does not happen to me on Windows 8.1. The only thing on 8.1 that causes a a jump in temp is working on really large files in Photoshop or if some nefarious program like Chrome's software reporter tool is sniffing around my PC. (I'm sure games would do it too but I'm not a gamer)

It makes me wonder if Windows is beaming info about opened apps, even though I seemingly have all the telemetry disabled via WPD.

Just made an refresh iso without defender man the defender thingy realy get's on my nerves with everything I use to modify windows it is been seen as a Virus !

 

Yea I take it out of 18323, also.

 

Yeah i had that trouble with defender deleting some cough cough files, i had a time replacing them.
A virus is something that deletes your files, defender was the damn virus.
