[DISCUSSION] Windows 10 Enterprise (N) LTSC 2019

Discussion in 'Windows 10' started by Tito, Feb 1, 2018.

Depending on what your usage will be, I would recommend Linus instead. But LTSC should be ok

With 2 GB of RAM any modern browser will make your system crawl or come to halt. Little Office might work.

What graphics solution is used by that machine.

Had an C2D with 4 GB and AMD HD 3000 Series that wasn't capable of playing HD content properly. The successor has a HD 4000. Win 10 doesn't support those officially so i needed an older driver. This constellation plays HD content just fine.

LTSC works fine on 3GB RAM here it just takes 10 minutes to boot up.

Does the regular Enterprise (non-LTS branding) get updated like Home/Pro versions?

From the 14393 aka 1607 range, only LTSB is still supported by MSFT.

LTSC = 1809 and all sku's are still supported.

I mean does the newest 1809 version of plain Enterprise get updated like Pro/Home, as in the updates today, as well as the upcoming 1903, will the regular Enterprise get a 1903 update to as with Home/Pro?

It's the current official build of course all 1809 sku's get updates.

Yes I know, I meant....well okay, LTSC has had a 2015,16,and 19 release, odds are there probably won't be a 1903 of LTSC, but regular Enterprise follows the Home/Pro CU and update/upgrade features?

LTSC will be new every 3 years, iirc.

They only released 2016 LTSB so soon after 2015 LTSB because 2015 LTSB was very buggy.

Yes, regular Enterprise gets feature updates every 6 months. Just like all Windows 10 sku's except LTSC.

I know MSFT likes to call them feature updates, but they are full upgrades, not updates.
