Well you can still do things the simple way, make USB install media, install LTSC, initiate Windows update through a few restarts until everything is updated. Windows update will install the drivers you need. I do it the way I do since I don't want Windows automatically installing any drivers, I want absolute control. You certainly don't have to do it that way, most people don't.
Normally i do the windows update, but sometimes it installs the drivers i don't want/or the drivers without the software that comes with them, which makes everything a mess
that's exactly what I was doing.. avoiding the newer driver versions because of the UWP control panel. but to my surprise, it actually works totally fine on LTSC (at least as far as I can tell). I tried driver versions 6577 and the current 6618 on a LTSC installation, without the store installed manually. I don't know if there is a shortcut for the control panel anywhere, but Open Shell lists it under the "Apps" folder -andy-
Good to hear the latest Intel video drivers work okay. I figured they would, but the ones I'm using are fine. The nVidia drivers are the ones that are more essential for updates. I only use the Intel graphics processor for the 2D stuff and you know the old cliche, if it works don't fix it. That's exactly why I do drivers full manual. Windows update does not install the drivers I want for everything. They do it that way to make it easy on the average user, but it comes at a cost. On the other hand doing drivers manually is quite a chore.
greetings how to upgrade LTSB 2016 (1607 Build 14393) Activated with Digital License (OEM Key) to LTSC (1809 Build 17763) maintaining the activation. LTSB EnterpriseS OEM:NONSLP Key xxx-DYJWX & LTSC OEM:NONSLP xxx-P39PB. I upgraded LTSB 2016 using LTSC DVD & it asked which version I want to install LTSC or LTSC N and the final installation was not activated Regards
Im on LTSC 17763.379 and have strange sound alert notification issues not showing up for Skype and Slack, both of which are my primary source of communication. Slack doesn't sound anything when there is a message, Skype desktop (non-store) is the same. Any clues ?
i installed those UWP driver for a UHD 620 and there is not the new GUi for intel. Normally, with the previous driver on LTSC, windows download the GUI, but with this new GUi form the store, I get nothing.
Forgive this noob question.. its been a while since I've been in the M$ domain. I need to run a software thats only for Win 10. Last time I used Win 10 LSTB and KMS-VL-ALL which worked well but does not work for the latest version of this prograsm. I've downloaded an official Win 10 LTSC evaluation: 17763.107.101029-1455.rs5_release_svc_refresh_CLIENT_LTSC_EVAL_x64FRE_en-us.iso I dont want to send anything to M$. Only run the program and finish my work. Is there anything else I need to do this? I'm not sure what MVS is or if same KMS-VL-ALL will work.
The reason KMS doesn't work is because you've installed an EVAL edition, re-install with a normal edition and all will work.

I heard disabling automatic/scheduled windows updates is impossible as it gets re-enabled again from Microsoft, but I also heard it is possible to permanently disable it through GPedit or something like that. Can anyone confirm this? If so, anyone know the process of doing it? Thanks a bunch in advance. I really appreciate it!
