Ok, I am having a strange problem. I have downloaded 3 or 4 LTSC ISO's now and all have the same issue on multiple systems and install mediums. If I run a SFC /scannow right after a fresh install it will come back saying errors were found that could not be fixed. No amount of scans or dism commands seems to fix the issue. I have tried installing to SATA drive, USB drive, and even as a windows to go install but all have the same problem. The errors seem to vary but one that pops up a lot in the log file is "Warning: Overlap: Duplicate ownership for directory" in a bunch of windows files and directories. It also has some flat out errors as well but forgot them off the top of my head. Anyone else having this issue? What is the latest known working ISO so I can try a fresh download? Thanks for all the effort and work ya'll have put into this. I was forced to upgrade from windows 7 and the LTSB / LTSC are the only windows 10 releases I can stomach.
I assume you used another partition for the LTSC install? Or formatted or repartitioned the existing partitions? To see what errors SFC /Scannow found you can run this command in an elevated cmd: Code: findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log >"%userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt" It will put a txt file on your desktop, containing the filtered info
Yes, I am using freshly wiped hard drives for testing, I always keep a few SSD's around for this type of thing. Thanks for the info, way easier to read the log file after running that command. It seems that the errors it is complaining about have to do with the WppRecorder.sys file which makes sense, It seems Microsoft screwed up this file with the 1809 update and it is a fairly common issue. You have to revert to the 1803 version of the file on some systems to get them to boot (mine included). I thought this might be the problem but I tried putting the 1809 files back at one point and the errors still showed up, guessing the 1803 versions were cached. So knowing that I can just ignore the errors and hopefully Microsoft will release a fixed file at some point. While I am posting here anyways, it is hard to follow the thread, what is the latest LTSC ISO floating around? I am currently using this one: "en_windows_10_enterprise_ltsc_2019_x64_dvd_5795bb03" Thanks again.
I just noticed with the last ISO I downloaded it says "consumer_edition_version" instead of "enterprise_ltsc" the other ISO's have. It is also almost 1gb larger file size? Not being versed in the lingo used for labeling these releases, can you tell me what the difference is? Thanks Edit: Checking the rabbit hole again, this seems to be the link that should have the ISO's for LTSC : 17763.1/107/194/253/316 Official MVS/VLSC Consumer, Business & LTSC ISO's [By @mkuba50, @s1ave77 and Me] https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/tool-s1ave77s-s-m-r-t-svf-iso-converter-v0-01-21.77028/ But it just says "nothing to see here"?
The tool is suspended, not working anymore. The content of the consumer iso is Home, (N), CSL (if there is one for your language), Pro, (N), Education, (N), Pro-Education, (N), Pro-Workstation, (N). (N) if it exists for your language.
Thanks! The magnet link is not working for me and the direct link is too slow. Is there any other magnet link for this? https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...n-n-enterprise-n-pro-n-sl.64267/#post-1128431 Thanks again.
I have installed Microsoft Windows Server 2019 Datacenter Version 10.0.17763 Build 17763 and activated with KMS_VL_ALL - Smart Activation Script posted by abbodi1406 (thank you abbodi). I am working in an environment that I would like to give approximately 50 users access to this installation via remote desktop. As is, it allows two connections and suggests I purchase User Client Access Licenses (CALs) .....spendy little critters! Has anyone found a way to activate/increase the number of connections? I have been searching My Digital Life for about 2 hours now and my apologies if I missed it. Thank you.
