FAKE LTSC! do not download or use "homebrew" or "fake" LTSC versions! The real versions of LTSB/LTSC (like 2015 v1507, 2016 v1607 and 2019 v1809) get up to 10 years worth of updates from MS.
I'm so confused about build numbers and naming conventions. Yesterday I installed 1809 LTSC with a build number of 17763.107. Did I install an early version that might have bugs? Should I try to find a later version?
It doesn't really matter, did you run windows update after install, or did you manually update your OS after installation? If so, you should be updated and good to go.
1903 LTSC doesn't exist. The whole purpose of using Enterprise 2019 LTSC = not having feature updates aka no 2 major build upgrades per year, why would one want to enter the IP rings on Enterprise 2019 LTSC (they are open to LTSC but won't install any of the offered feature updates anyway).
I just don't understand why people are creating these homebrew LTSC builds. They are useless, since the only benefit of LTSC which is updates after 18 or 30 months will not exist, since Microsoft will not release any newer update for non-LTSC releases. Just use Enterprise with UWP removed apps if you hate them so much. The only reason I can think of is "because you can do it, even though it's useless". PS. Enterprise Eval also is prohibited from Feature Upgrades, you can use it if you have a way to rearm it every 90 days.
You're wrong, I never go into the registry and change anything product codes. First I convert Win 10 LTSC v1809 to Win 10 Non LTSC v1809. After update Win 10 Non LTSC v1809 to Win 10 v1903, I convert Win 10 v1903 to Win 10 LTSC v1903.
There is no 1903 LTSC, so how would you have updated or converted anything to 2019 LTSC (Enterprise 2019 LTSC being 1809)? The most you probably achieved is a normal 1903 enterprise, licensed as LTSC (by fiddling with the license files) without the core of LTSC, being 10 year updates support.
Different between Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC v1903 and Enterprise v1903 (Non LTSC) & Pro v1903 Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC v1903 don't have Cortana and Taskbar also don't have option Show Cortana button, but Windows Enterprise v1903 (Non LTSC) and Windows 10 Pro v1903 have.
No thanks bub, i will stick to intouched ms iso's only. Perhaps @ancestor(v) @urie or @Yen or any mod should step in. Funny thing is the harder he pushes the more i question it.
Thanks for the reply. I checked the version number before I got online. Next time I boot my win10 drive I'll look but now I understand.
Sorry guys i am little more confused now.. 1.) LTSC can install update from other editions ? Like the new version 1809 which has this light theme ? 2.) I want LTSC mainly for less of MS intrusion into privacy and better control , can i do these on other edition too or LTSC is better ? 3.) Is so ,where can i find the lastest LTSC with the latest update ? Or i can just install any version of LTSC and just hit update to get the later version 1809 ? 4.) What is the difference between consumer and business edition in LTSC ? 5.) does LTSC get updates like other edition or we have to integrate it or download each time ?
Sorry to bother y'all but I get confused in all these different versions sometimes. Can someone hit me up with the "latest and cleanest" link for the Win 10 LTSC 1809? Love you all, thanks in advance.
