Did you understand my question? Does somewhere in any of the settings pages, show the line "View configured .... policies"? Like shown in the screen i posted?
yes this pops up in several places the other day I saw on Reddit someone also complaining but i don't remember where it was
I didn't ask if the message you show is shown on more settings pages, i asked if the specific line "View configured ... policies" is shown anywhere on the settings pages.
On LTSC which version? Thanks I'm getting this error "Detected unrecognized USB driver (\Driver\usbfilter). hcmon"
@Enthousiast The same, but I'm getting this error "Detected unrecognized USB driver (\Driver\usbfilter). hcmon" and after a while everything freezes. The only solution for me is to reboot. No problem if I uninstall VMware. I tried to look for the root causes through ProcessMonitor and ProcessExplorer but no particular feedback because they are not able to record the crash causes. Now I disabled VMware USB Arbitration Service to see if it is the problem as I read on other posts.
@Enthousiast In the meantime I tried a different approach: installing 15.0 and let it to upgrade to 15.5.1, but still the same issue.
@Enthousiast Thanks for the feedback. No clue on what happens to my system. Are you aware about any application like ProcessMonitor and ProcessExplorer with the capability to record until crash? Event Viewer doesn't help me so much apart highlighting the error "Detected unrecognized USB driver (\Driver\usbfilter) on hcmon". The disappointing thing is that on the same HW, WIN10 PRO and VMware 15.5.1 work smooth together.......
@Enthousiast Is it a trouble for you to save the picture (as csv file) of the services currently running on your "VMWare WS Pro 15.5.1 build-15018445 on Enterprise 2019 LTSC build 17763.1012" system and send me as PM?
@Enthousiast I rephrase: could you save the picture (as csv file) of the services currently running on your Enterprise 2019 LTSC build 17763.1012 where you tested VMware Workstation Pro 15.5.1 and send me as PM? Thanks! @Enthousiast I cross my fingers, but.......it seems I have solved the issue simply uninstalling through device manager all the USB devices and re-booted. Once re-booted, I'm still getting the error message in Event Viewer, but it doesn't freeze anymore (still crossing my fingers!). I'm posting to benefit of others who eventually would face the same issue.
windows10.0-kb4534321-x64 [CU_.1012] installation issue… Yesterday when using W10UI_7.7 (Administrator) to install windows10.0-kb4534321-x64 [CU_.1012] on a W10 LTSC 2019 live system, DISM failed to complete… I REBOOTED and tried a 2nd attempt with the same result… I then REBOOTED and used WUMT and it failed… I then REBOOTED and ran the .msp directly and it also failed… (No surprise) Today (not giving up easily) I used WuMgr 1.1b and windows10.0-kb4534321-x64 [CU_.1012] installed correctly… It seemed to take much longer than usual to install previous CU’s, but it WORKED… The previous kb4534273 Cumulative Update 2020/01/11 [CU_.973] installed without issue on 14-Jan-2020… Any feedback on why this occurred would be appreciated… I do not have the DISM.log for this issue...
Yes, same error but the command DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth via an admin cmd prompt found NO ERRORS...
