without the tool from a former MDL member, which activates windows for like 30 years or so, (sadly not allowed in here) i would probably buy a stolen key for a few euros too, if i couldn't find a free one which still works. there are a few lists with free keys on google and if you check them every day multiple times, you will get one after sometime but im way too lazy these days. did it with the first LTSB version like this. activate it via phone activation and you are good to go until you format the next time, which should be a few years with a LTSC version running anyway. so then i buy another one for 5 euros. still better then using any normal KMS solutions, which are not permanent or run in the background all the time.
KMS solutions are free, and the ones from MDL are trusted, and with autorenewal it will be "permanent" too, and no criminal organization gains any money for the bogus keys. There is also no resources hogging by running a KMS solution.
i never said that they resourcing hogging, but they still run in the background, atleast if you use autorenewal and if not then it's not permanent. actually it's not even permanent with autorenewal. it's still 180 days but gets reactivated with every reboot. i don't care if it's from a big company or dev xy from a well known board. i don't want this running in the background on my system and i want a fully activated windows without any limits or reactivations all the time. . and you never know who sells what, why do you think it's a criminal "organization". it can be one person, so how it is this a criminal organization then? if microsoft doesn't release it for "normal" users, then i rather pay to so called criminal organization then using any KMS solution and like i said you can also get them stolen keys for free, you just need some patience.
It gets renewed every 7 days, when using a properly coded KMS tool it's even handled by the system itself: Using keys, obtained by questionable methods*, is not the method used on MDL when there are technical solutions. *Obtained by scanning ftp servers, leaked/stolen from organizations or just plain generated.
and i haven't seen anyone selling or sharing them in here, so just because MDL does it this way, doesn't mean everyone has to do it that way.
i haven't advertise anything. i just said that there are other methods which work just fine without any problems.
I want to integrate a couple more appx into LTSC build, this is a family computer so I would like them all available for all users without them having to install them one by one. I've looked at the Store integration zip posted here and it seems you basically have use add-appxprovisionedpackage to install the appx (+dependencies) and the license for all users into the online windows image. I know how to get the *.appx from the official store links, but where do I get the license.xml files? They are just built in Microsoft appx (Camera, People, Mail) in SAC edition, can I fetch the license somehow from a 1809 wim image? Will they work without a license (-skiplicense parameter)?
Has anyone else experienced banding issues with LTSC? I have a 10bit display on hp 8770w laptop i.e. DreamColor and I had a pretty poor experience with LTSC. I have reverted back to LTSB which seems to have resolved this issue. I wonder if LTSC ever addressed the banding issue, or if users in this thread have experienced it
Wee question, and I tried to do my homework, but there's a lot of legacy stuff and hardly any solid documentation. Am wanting to reinstall Windows 10, but I can't be arsed going through the whole driver installs, redist installs, program installs, registry tweaks, command prompt tweaks, disabling speculation fixes, etc., over and over again. What are the best tools of integrating as much of that stuff into a Windows 10 LYSC 2019 ISO? DISM++ Looked pretty cool, but the documentation is in Chinese. What should I go with?
Just got my LTSC key and activated it, man this is so different, it's way faster and snappier than the regular Enterprise it's like I'm using a different OS! That's the only edition of Windows I'll use from now on!
I'd rather have this running in the background, than most of the crap that does run in the background, and still will, no matter what you do about it In an ideal world, we would have a 'choice' in regards as to what version of Windows we wish to run, aka, bloat free or not?, but that has now been removed from us all, regardless. This is not going to change, far from it, it's going to get worse, with each iteration of this OS. Windows is a shadow of it's former self, and Microsoft don't give a toss one way or the other. You either buy into it, or move on with something else, and the latter is looking much more promising now
Thx to a user here i can't recall atm...sry....He/she mentioned that the LTSC version runs on older processors.... I previously tested a consumer build and it refused to install....telling me the hardware isn't supported.....After reading that post earlier today,i tested the LTSC version on a vhd and it works fine adding some updates atm... Thx again to all for the support/tools and whatnot...great forum
