I turned on via group policy to only check and inform of updates. It is only informing me of dotnet preview, not CU preview. Not really alarming, just unexpected behaviour.
My installs are untouched and seems that preview updates are installed by WU by default on 1809, unlike on 1903/9 / 2004/9
Does Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC can sudently update to non-LTSC version of windows on its own (and the horrors of WU begins...), without manual interaction from the user itself? Does the updates for such non-LTSC version will appear at the 'Windows Update' settings tab?
Switched today back from windows 2004 to LTSC I had so many issues last 2 months with the Enterprise 2004 build that decided to change back to this build what a relief
I remember once doing it by key but can't remember when, must have been with a 1809 Enterprise 2019 LTSC and normal Enterprise, will test, asap. Also can't remember which way it worked, LTSC > Normal or the other way around. For now an inplace upgrade with a business ISO (or a UUP dump ISO with Enterprise onboard) is known to always work.
Yeah, never need to run anything again for the lifetime of the hardware, only the oem:nslp key (not to be mentioned here) will be needed when re-installing and re-activating.
And then activate Office with KMS LibreOffice is a good alternative and takes up much less disk space.
Hi, I've clicked on downloads+hash but there are several options. Which one do I want for LTSC ISO download? So confused and don't want to choose the wrong one. Thanks!
17763.1 (Public release) Has a serious bug that deletes users' personal files after updating. Only use if doing a clean install and update to latest CU. 17763.107 (Re-release) Nov 2018 (No N Version) 17763.316 (Refresh) Updated Feb 2019 (Latest)
@abbodi1406 Just out of curiosity, can Enterprise LTSC also be activated using HWID using the MAS tool?
