Just dont use 17763.1 for in place upgrades. The first good one for such scenario is 17763.107 (IIRC)
Never used it in my life, given is pointless to create W10/11 updated ISOs, except for some specific corner cases. Whatever, I think you can start from any version.
Thanks to all, successfully installed uptodate ISO, What is the recommended mode of activation for LTSC 2019? I have already used LTSC 2021 HWID on my machine earlier, would that cause any issue?
Hello, i have LTSC 2019 N edition, fully activated with a genuine key, of course since is N edition it came without any video codec and so i'm not able to play anything since the Enhanced Video Renderer (EVR) required to many players (like Media Player Classic) i missing. So i download from ms repository the Media Feature Pack for my version 1809, the issue is that it do not install only the codecs i need but also a lot of crap, like windows media player and xbox services, it add a new menù in the settings and add some services and tasks. While i can easily remove windows media player from the windows installation menù, i can't remove all the left crap like xbox services unless i do a full unistallation, but if i do so i lose the EVR again. I want to ask if there is a modded package with only the video codecs, expecially the EVR, without all the crap and bloatware. Thank you, any help is appreciated.
First: MPC-HC works w/o EVR w/o any problem, just choose a different output (x86 version has even the good old overlay mixer output) Second: you can unpack the MFP and install only the MUMs you want, using dism.
The whole TV core package, which includes most of the needed components for playback and tuning, it's like less than 5MB compressed (say 15 MB once installed), EVR i think is a single dll and is less than 1MB. Not exactly what I call bloat. The VLC 3.x installer is 40MB compressed. just to put things on perspective. It's just matter of not being integralists (who usually see the finger but miss the moon)
