First of all ... congratulations for sticking with this project! Many would have chucked in the towel by now. You're sort of in luck here, because I've had errors nearly identical to what you're describing! What I think is going on ... PowerShell; DISM; DLLs; kernel; something is jacked-up! Why I say "sort-of in luck" is because the solution ranges from simple to complex. If I get problems like what you're describing on a known good, modern PC with at least Windows 10 rs1 installed, then the standard "help desk" solution works. Solution 1 - Standard "help desk": Restart your PC! Better still, shutdown your PC and than start it up again. I just did this only a few minutes ago! Optimize-Offline tossed some strange error, but after restarting my PC the problem was solved. Complexity number one. Some Windows set-ups have all sorts of fast-boot, ready-boot, hybrid drive stuff going on. Meaning that when you re-boot your PC, the RAM isn't getting properly flushed. You may need to turn off any "suspend OS to RAM" stuff on your PC before restarting your PC. Complexity number two. Your PC may need a deeper repair than a simple 'RAM" flush. I had a PC that did everything I asked it to do and was seemingly fine, but when I tried to run a complex PowerShell script it spat errors! I was able to fix this PC by doing the standard "System File Scan for corruption" Solution 2 - "System File Scan for corruption" solution: In a command terminal run: sfc.exe /scannow Complexity number three - very complex: I did have one PC that still spat errors even after applying the above scan and doing other approved repair solutions (search the 'net' for "Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth"). Once again, everything else I asked this PC to do, it did without errors! The only solution in this case was to use a different PC. Solution 3 - Use a different Windows 10 PC or VM: I can offer no assurance that a Windows 7 PC will work. I realize that this is not necessarily an option for you, so hopefully you can fix whatever is wrong. Otherwise, if you can make or use a clean VM with enough hard disk space, that would be the easiest. Else, you may have to 'bite-the-bullet' and do a clean install of LTSC 2019 and than run the Optimize-Offline.ps1 script on your fresh PC and then re-install again with your newly Optimize-Offline slimmed image. I hope everything I just wrote is of no point and you managed to solve your issues, but, if not ... I feel your pain!
^^I can confirm,1fichier doesn't work at my end either. My guess is instead of browser, using jdownloader will be more successful.
If it is an universal issue(aka reproducible on any similar system with fresh win 10 install) then only solution is program/driver update by dell.
I see we can remove traces of xbox and windows search (cortana) - I don't use them so it would be nice if windows isn't indexing my drives for search etc. And that we can remove these from LTSC using the Optimize Offline too, thanks @TheStutch But is it possible I can just leave these things installed, and just disable the services from running? I don't really mind an extra 500mb disk space or so being taken up, but can I achieve the same effect via just turning stuff off? Or, can I even remove them after the actual os install? I'd prefer to keep the iso as it comes. Thank you!
always wise to first install in a VM to test and verify tweaks and optimizations, also wait for bug reports before installing in your system.
