Even though I did not install LTSC 1809 yet, based on what I read all over here and the web, I have to accept that this particular release is flawed. I'll archive this s**t for now, needless to say this is a sad day and quite unbelievable that MS even released this buggy s**t. Literally waited years for this moment. All the excitement for nothing. Cheers.
Excited for the new release until i read problems affected some users, feels like the next WU will be a heavy one. Going to hold off a couple months to let MS iron out major reported issues. Still living nicely with 1607 at the moment.
I did a clean install. The only issue I had was with file associations, sometimes you have to tell it twice but other than that minor thing, have absolutely no problems with anything on LTSC. This is with Office 2019, 3DSMAX, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Cloud, Steam, Origin etc installed.
Hard to believe, looks more like incorrect reporting of storage size because of excluding hidden/system files.
This is from someone that decided to wait for LTSC 2019 before finally upgrading from windows 7, take everything you read with a grain of salt, specially on forums like these were it seems like half the users hate windows although they still use it as their main OS, the release is fine, yes, it has the bug that deletes your files in the library if you're updating and not making a clean install, but you're warned already (and people should always have backups if they're planing on replacing their main OS), and if you were going to clean install it really has nothing to do with you. Same for me, the file associations are a bit bugged, it's the most annoying thing i had come across, everything else is running fine, and i have taken the time to change the system settings (via normal methods and also regedit and gpedit) to my liking, so if anything was going to break, it would possibly had happened already.
For system app removal, it keeps the file structures in tact but prevents the provisioning and installation of them during the setup of Windows. By keeping the file structures in tact, the servicing and updating of the system is never compromised. Moreover, system applications that were de-provisioned cannot be enabled/installed/provisioned afterwords like Metro App Packages can be. I will see what changes I'd have to make, and what I'd have to add, to make it bilingual. I can't help you with a modified version of the script so you will need to ask him directly, but I can tell you Win32Calc does get skipped if Enterprise LTSC is detected in my original script.
As per user reports here it does(just like RS5 it also has the task manager bug of incorrect cpu ussge too).
That is usual, most likely his win 10 install is either modified or windows is reporting incorrect used space(maybe some setting is not counting space taken by hidden/system files).
