if i understood well, the tool allows to dowload the Eval iso which is the source then it looks for the svf file that corresponds to the edition and language that you need then creates from that svf file, the iso that you need.
Media features. The EU forced MS to unbundle them for Cartel reasons and MS complied and delivered a version that only cries for problems. Note: N is also missing several services and system codecs that are needed for gaming and for example smart phone integration.
NOTE: This exactly the thing i don't get about users going with the N-version. They all knowingly install, then 90% of them is searching for the Media Feature Pack (apparently contradicts the choice made before) to resolve the little problems that might appear. There are still tons of dependencies that will fail if these features are missing. Most of them are not as obvious as one might think .
Well, I never installed the N version on any of my Win10 installation, but then I saw lot of people requesting it in the thread, so I preferred to ask before doing anything that i would regret. Anyway, do you know if LTSC cointains OneDrive? And if yes, is there any way to remove it or prevent its installation form the start (even before installing windows)?
No idea why they still continue that "N is a separate SKU" nonsense. They have a whole "S Mode", so, why not have an "N Mode", then? Feature-locking that stuff by license policy through product key cannot be harder than having a discrete SKU.
N mode is not what EU law meant they should do, the N editions are not made voluntarily by MSFT, they are forced by EU LAW (never seen one officially offered nor pre-installed, but) that is the reason N editions exist.
I know that. The chaos was even greater in the Win7 era: N SKUs (EU), K SKus (Korea), KN SKUs, and the binned (instead we got the infamous EU ballot) Windows 7E SKUs. EU stands for total chaos. They should favor a modular structure in Win. Don't like Media features, don't install them. Don't like IE or Edge, don't install, etc. etc. With that approach, they don't need that N SKU hubbub.
Hey guys, I read several comments in this section, but I haven't found the solution to my problem. What I get is this : Spoiler: Error [ INFO ] Source Eval ISO present. [ INFO ] Checking Eval ISO Hash. [ INFO ] Hash : fba7f17ffdf018e4cffd49a9819d719d3708cf09 [ WARN ] Hash Mismatch [ INFO ] Hash : 5bbd9d5024b2a51eb74b897e7232124e272d24aa I am trying to install the greek version, so I press the buttons as requested in this particular order 6 > 6 > 06 > S The file has already been downloaded, so at the moment I'm stuck at this step. Have I done something wrong (rhetorical question) ? Thanks in advance and sorry for the disturbance! It's a bit late here and I'm kind of dizzy from day's work so I may lost something in the process.
17763.1.180914-1434.rs5_release_CLIENT_LTSC_EVAL_x64FRE_en-us <---- This is what got downloaded from the svf to iso converter. I know it's for downloading only. I was trying to download this one, it's just that when i got to choose the language of Windows I wish, I picked the Greek one (hence the "06" choice on the language option).
Hmm, I'm trying to download it once again. I redownloaded the cmd from s1ave77's post and I changed the location (in case there was a problem with firewall/admin rights). I'm going to post the results in ~15 min. Thanks, so far for your help!
