Run MAS 3.8 - Activate windows 10 using - HWID option 1 Then with MAS 3.8 use TS Forge option 3 then option 2 to activate ESU
Well after 2 days with a fresh windows W10 home installation all possible updates applied prior to then running MAS 3.8 TS Forge ESU I can only get KB5068781 to appear if I manually ask PC to search for updates otherwise it just sits with the screens shown below I enclose a registry keys picture after running TS Forge with MAS 3.8 So unsure why WU never finds KB5068781 without my intervention ??
UPDATE Just wondered if my issue is related to new installation media with fresh installs ? I am using the W10 22H2 iso release Build - 19045.6456 (Oct 2025) could my installation be missing specfic updates or prerequisites: that are now NOT getting offered in Windows updates after installation prior to then running TS Forge ESU ? Have installed several times to different computers all with the same outcome NO UPDATE FOUND automatically for KB5068781 As I have mentioned a manual push gets the KB5068781 ok I am just curious as to why its not coming through on its own ? Could a fresh install be the cause as other people appear to be having no problems ? Any comments suggestions appreciated thanks
You mean that your PC, with fresh windows install, was running for two days with business ESU activated with tsforge but didn't get notification about KB5068781? Don't know if this helps but I rebooted a PC with activated ESU on 12th, and when I logged back in, there was a notification from WU. I clicked on it and there was KB5068781 offered (along with Malicious Software Removal Tool). So, neither I don't know if a reboot was a WU trigger or it was just a very funny timing...
Tried reboot many times no updates are ever offered from WU unless I click on check for updates Prior to EOS monthly updates were always offered automatically as they became available
Yes, I know how that works, and I had a problem with no updates offered to me even after checking for them. Resetting the Windows update solved the issue. Perhaps the problem is not in the ESU and updates, but in WU. Since this is the new installation that never received "normal" update outside post-EOL, it may be a thing to consider.
Hi, I have installed MAS 3.8 in Windows 10 IoT but it does not find any update. Then I tried (twice) to install kb5068781 manually, but after the PC restarts and continues updating I get a message saying that something went wrong and the installation is reverted. Is this normal for IoT?
No. Confirm ESU licenses are working (check licenses with MAS, ESU 1-3year and 4-6 year must be there and with state Licensed). IoT Enterprise LTSC does not have ESU at all. it gets regular updates.
Free esu updates. free. free. free. no esu license is needed [as i test it] Credit for mass for find the ClipESU.exe file, and after dis`, it just write a registry value you dont have to install the esu license [don`t sure, ignore this for now] [wrong, need suppressor, or install com` esu, to succ` install the updates] Etc, they work for scanning as abbodi1406 say so, its solve 1 problem at least Code: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SoftwareProtectionPlatform\ESU] "Win10CommercialAzureESUEligible"=dword:00000000 "Win10CommercialKeybasedESUEligible"=dword:00000001 "win10ConsumerESUStatus"=dword:00000001
https://forums.mydigitallife.net/goto/post?id=1896375#post-1896375 you need ESU license for installation (or ESU Suppressor) those registry only work for WU detection
Mathew - James Did you push check for updates to get windows update to show KB 5068781 as available ?
Thank you for the information. It's the regular version, not LTSC. The problem is that I don't know what I should do about this.
