What will happen after 1 year of ESU? Will we have the option to get updates similar to what happened with Windows XP (end of support 2014; uptades till 2019 with Reg file)???
MAS v3.9 adds 4 activation IDs: Client-ESU-Year1, Client-ESU-Year2, Client-ESU-Year3 and Client-ESU-Year6
Nobody knows what will happen so we call it a placeholder for now, not able to see what will happen at msft in the next 3 years let alone the 4, 5 and sixth year. And don't worry, MSFT will make people go to 11 before the ESU time is over, maybe not by force but by lacking any interest for 10 soon.
Hi, I've just restored Windows from a system image backup (from August 2025). Windows installed kb5068164, kb5066747, kb5066791, kb5072653 and the 2025-12 update kb5071546 (thanks to Tsforge) In the Windows Update window in settings, I've got the following warnings : "You're not up to date", and "your device is missing important security and quality fixes" So far, I've tried fixing Windows Updates with the Troubleshooter, sfc /scanow, and emptying the Windows Update cache folder, but to no avail. Is that another Microsoft visual bug? Thanks for your help.
Yes I have just installed Windows 10 today fresh install and after running ESU TSforge and completing all available updates I have exactly the same message "You're not up to date", and "your device is missing important security and quality fixes" Not sure if somehow its lacking some other windows KB update to clear this ? All manual attempts to update and find updates state non are available I have rebooted several times but the message stays with no further updates available ?? Message still remains "You're not up to date", and "your device is missing important security and quality fixes" Is there a prerequisite update I could manually download thats missing here from the windows update catalogue ?

At least the December 2025 LCU itself was offered and installed after installing TSForge ESU, before installing ESU it showed the EOS message.

ok so its not just me then !! what do you think another Microsoft Bug ? I too received the December 2025 update ok the message appeared straight after this update
99% sure it is, or a very sad attempt to scare people to 11, it is expected that MSFT will loose their interest in 10 at some time, driving people mad. ps, i didn't get that message myself, i was helping an old lady with her old laptop showing the windows 10 EOS message, and after installing TSForge ESU the update was offered and installed by WU, then the missing important updates message appeared.
interesting ? similiar situation for me ? perhaps its been caused by appling TS Forge ESU later rather than several weeks ago thats caused this message ?
Just for confirmation, was kb5071546 the only update available on December 9th? I can't check on another device, I've got only this computer to run tests. Is that possible that this workaround to remove EOS message...provided by abbodi1406 Code: ViVeTool /disable /id:48796508 might hide that message too?
I'm looking for clarification on what ClipESU.exe is/does and if I should run it. As far as I can tell, it adds registry keys which enable certain ESU updates to be seen by Windows. Is there more to it than that? I have several Win10 Machines. On 2 of them, I ran TSForge in early October. On another, I ran it after the release of the first ESU update in November. All of the machines have received KB5066871 and KB5071546 without issue. Only the machine that ran TSForge in November has KB5072653. Is it advisable to run ClipESU.exe on general principle, just to be safe? After running it, what does it add/change and how do I confirm if everything is correct?
