It's hard to say what @Tito has in his bag of tricks. I think one possible solution would be to find, in another thread, a post of yours older than Sep 12 2025 (first post of that other ESU thread), and move that to this thread. Your first post of this thread would then slide down to #2 position, and some editing and deleting would be needed to make it look nice. We could then move posts and keep you as OP here without any trouble. It may be easier to just link to that other thread in first post here, and then we close it.
In the past the admins were able to shuffle all posts into other threads without any problems, they even could start a thread in my name for the IP builds when i was not available The important info will be in this thread anyway, so all will be ok soon enough
@Carlos Detweiller, @CaptainKirk1966, @Enthousiast, and others Since it would be better to keep all Windows 10 ESU related discussions in a single thread, I'm gonna merge this one with the previous thread and do some XenForo-fu to keep things tidy. Locking this one till then. === Update: Done with everything, and reopened.
Fixed the exe into vbs at the OP, i never type the extensions so i mistakenly put exe there. Initially i put in smlgr so i thought that was the only typo Apologies to the person not getting what was fixed (can't find the reply anymore) Thanks
- It's scary message, not Nag screen - It's just a high number to make the message go away, Windows will not exist in 2055 - Unblock it - The message will be visible for all editions, OneSettings client fix it for non ESU-editions - It's stored in UsoSettings.json MusUpdateHandlers.dll read/control it - You can't remove it
The end of support message in Windows update disappears when you add a registry but then it returns....
The details above shows that a Fresh Installation fixes the problem, at least for x64 version. Great tracking and testing! Sadly, as in 2024 with the WinRE faulty update, the only way to fix this fake End-Of-Life problem for LTSC versions is making a new installation. Because we don't know if with the next monthly LTSC update (ESU-update for Win10 v22H2) will "fix" that ugly message in Windows Update. The good news is that the system can receive updates, even with the red message, so we hope it would be fixed. Dear abbodi1406, so with the next "Windows 2030" (of course powered with AI and capable of being controlled by farting), maybe Linux would be one of the few remaining real Operating Systems that can be used without all AI crap.
So if you run the Consumer ESU Enrollment script will it be possible to download the updates from the Update Catalog site and install them offline like we could with Windows 7?
Both of my Dell Precision 3620 towers which are running Windows 10 Pro 22H2 64-bit (updated to October 2025) say I'm entitled to the 1-year ESU for free. I've decided not to activate the offer yet because I'm waiting to see if we can manually obtain and install the post-EOL updates without going that route. Is there anything in the works to address that, or is it too early yet?
What route? Microsoft account? and why not get 3-years with MAS TSforge? yes, there is a way to get Consumer ESU license without enrollment or MS account but we shall see if it works next month
