Tried putting it in a folder?

 

I just renamed it to kb3176925.cab and copied it to C: root, ran it from there

 

Try from a different path as others have suggested. Worked fine here.

 

Buildfeed is showing new Patch. Should be released to Insiders next week

Note that the cab downloads still have the SHA-string attached. For the posted DISM command to work out of the box, you need to remove that string.

 

Not so - worked fine here. Installed into three VM's, x64 Pro, x86 Pro and Core x86 all with the SHA string in filename - no prob.

 

I think he is referring to the .cab's I posted that have the SHA1 in the filename.

I didn't post detailed instructions on how to apply the update - I assumed a certain level of knowledge (plus I am lazy).

 

Aha, sorry, I see what he meant now.

If copying and pasting the command you posted, you would need to rename the downloaded .cab accordingly. Gotcha.

Am I the only one having problem with notifications? They seem to arrive 3-10 minutes late. It's driving me insane.

 

Has this been confirmed the anniversary update build or just build canidate?

 

There are probably several hundred posts in this thread about precisely that. Overwhelming opinion is that yes this is Anniversary Update and last night's small update fixes a few bugs.
