OK what it boils down to build 14993 is the RTM tomorrow we just get cumulative update 14993.50 and then a 100 updates by the end of year who know what are build number will turn up to RS2 time

Any ways yes not to excited about a new release of windows since the day Win 95 was released LOL

Not 100 updates. We get a cumulative update each month now. So if you install RS1 say after 4 months then you'll only get CU for that month and latest Adobe Flash Security Update and maybe a Servicing stack update. We don't have to download all updates since a RTM (or final build) release now.

Also R1 will stay RS1 no matter how many updates (CUs, 14393.XXX) you get. RS2 will be a complete new build i.e., an upgrade over RS1

Of course, WSUS and that other link from MS will host same RTM build. We would just get CU on Aug 2 through Windows Update.
Same happened with build 10586 also.

I'm just waiting for LTSB RS1 man, excited!

 

I might be beating a dead horse, but is there any chance PT-PT links can be posted (preferably x64 Pro version)?
