Either way works, was just answering what he probably overlooked doing when saving the ei.cfg to the sources folder. IF you add that file after burning your USB to the sources file it will auto activate without slmgr or changing the key. It will install as retail pro.
The iso's with SW_DVD9_NTRL_*****_FOD_X**-*****.ISO what are they? What does the NTRL and FOD represent?
FOD is features on demand packages (.NET framework, language-specific speech/handwriting/etc. add-on packages). The "X" number is the part number given to each specific release.
Afaik it only will autoselect Professional at the initial setup (it also selects which EULA to show), what happens after install depends on the used key.
Arugh...... seemed ok at first, then I added my second monitor. Now, I can only boot in safe mode....
If i change ei.cfg to Pro RTL will it auto-activate . And can i still enter win 7 retail key or just generic one? Thanks
Testing what happens with retail channel ei.cfg on a system with a HWID for Pro. When it HWID activates, why the need to put in other key?
Are Pro links the same as Multiple Edition? It contains Home, too or not? Does these VL ISOs need serial number during installation? Thanks
Reading would explain a lot But Multiple Editions ISO's contain both, Home and Pro and ask for a key during install, though they can be skipped. Pro VLSC is VL only and doesn't ask for keys because of the ei.cfg in the sources folder and the pre-inserted VL Key.
With retail channel ei.cfg the install still isn't HWID activated, had to use the generic Pro key, ending on 3v66t, to get it HWID activated.
Hello guys, so, i have Windows 10 professional edition activated with HWID, and i was wondering if installing volume license edition such as the one leaked today by WZOR or the magnetic links lying around in this thread for that particular edition i.e. Professional edition, would be ok so as that it will auto-activate with internet. Previously i have used MSDN images, and as i understand those are retail for professional edition. Please do share your worthy input regarding this. Thanks
Hello dear, should i do that using CMD after i am done installing VLSC image for Professional Edition, when windows startup for the first time? Or Do i have to edit the installation files from the bootable media i.e. USB in this case, with that command?
the hype is real some people just ask as a shortcut people like us when we miss 9 pages go and read everything but we are weird we are true insiders
