Has anyone had issues with 208 becoming unresponsive? After a few hours, opening and closing any exe either takes 10 minutes or fails. Processes won't die unless killed twice, and I can't find anything in the logs about any errors or issues. It even gets stuck shutting down services during reboot/shutdown. This happens even on a fresh install.
They better make a big Day 0 patch available at the time of GA. This build is pretty much a WiP even by Windows 10 standards. Recently, I've also observed increased latency while playing back audio from YouTube or from standalone players such as MPC-HC leading to cracking and popping sounds. Latencymon showed high latency figures as high as 15465 microseconds. Don't remember having such issues with 1909. For the record, my PC is an AMD Ryzen 9 3900X with 32 GB RAM DDR4-3600 RAM and an RTX 2080 Super. OS is installed on an Aorus PCIe Gen4 SSD on an MSI Prestige X570 Creation mobo.
Yes, I've experienced this behavior on a couple of machines and it is rather annoying. One is a fresh install and the other a 1909 to 20H1 upgrade.
Indeed, the same here, multiple fresh installs. I had to stop services one by one to be able to reboot. It happens after installing AMD chipset/GPU drivers. After disabling services, it runs just fine, but once they are enabled (for updates), it gets stuck again. I am actually postponing installing the latest AMD drivers.
i did have a few freezes and crashes while running movies on windows media player also windows explorer did become unresponsive a few times were i have to task manager and re-start it again....now the movie issues i suspect in windows media player...i run VLC player and no isuues watching movies....that was two weeks ago and sense then all good hopefully the next CU will stabilize the OS more.
The movie deal has been going on for me since 19H...I reported it but nothing has happen to it. Not always, it sporadic but it happens (I've tried uninstalling the movie/tv player and reinstalling but it doesn't help).
Hence the "certain machines...undetermined reason". I was just offering a possible avenue to figure out freezing/crashing issues.
