Clean installs are always preferred on my end. You're jumping two OS's (8.0 and 8.1) and multiple releases of Windows 10 trying to upgrade from Windows 7.
did windows 7 home premium on an acer 5750Z to windows 10 2004 in mid march in place upgrade and updates after that; so far just working on some audio issues with the realtek driver to get to work properly with external speakers otherwise all is working for most part as no real acer support for windows 10 updated drivers like many manufacturers all hit and miss trying to update latest drivers with generic updated drivers and older equipment
And yet, many times it is. The only time I really can see upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10 as a viable solution is to take advantage of the fact that MS is still giving HWID activations away if your machine has an SLIC or MSDM table. But seeing how trivial it is to generate an HWID on a clean installation these days, it's hardly worth the effort in my opinion. As to your original question, a user up above posted that they upgraded 7 to 2004 and has/had a few issues. In other words, and this goes for any upgrade scenario... Your mileage may vary.
Look at top of the download list at new on the dev download page Nsight thingy they made a driver download out of it some how I guess
If it's for me I would do clean install, but office machines are another story. Just fixed mentioned problems with removal of some registry values and everything looks fine atm. Btw, it took some time to find the right answer on the net.
I didn't play any game recently, neither am a regular gamer nor have the time & energy anymore like old days, so can't really comment about FPS boot
I am really a newbee in this matter, I will thank you so much my friend My thanks for all friends in this important Forum
To install the Nvidia beta driver mentioned above you need to have installed the visual studio, the last one. then no problems until now, with the Windows performance.
