Thanks uninstalling 20h2 package fixed the problem on why the installer could not do an inplace update. edit: Doing the inplace upgrade worked thanks
19042 is a fake build number. Large parts of the system, like essentially all system files, will still show 19041. 19041 and 19042 are the exact same installation, with the 20H2 features being enabled via product policies (triggered by the Enablement package).
No, you need to do a full Feature Upgrade.Latest CU will probably be installed in this process, if WU is used to upgrade.
