RTM? may be announced the 18th or 19th of December maybe unless we have to wait to after holidays which will resume Jan 7th 2020
20H1 then again won't be public until spring 2020 MS is only hanging on to it for testing which means insiders will get and most all of us here @ mydigitallife
Trying to upgrade to this build. But install fails after first reboot, it reboot as soon as boot logo show. It does this twice and then on third time it boots. I tried installing 3 times with the 3rd actually breaking system boot. I had to use windows cd and cmd to load the registry to fix the sata setting for the system to boot again. Also keep getting 0xc1900101 0x20017 after login back in Which after checking with diag thing from microsoft. It states windows upgrade rollback failure . Which doesnt help at all
Well the rumors are that 19041 has been signed off RTM which means OEMs will get their bits from this build. Nothing confirmed so far though and I wouldn't hold my breath.
I have a problem with this build in that when you click on the START MENU and it pops up, you attempt to scroll down that menu and the entire screen flashes and the START MENU goes away and brings up the desktop. I can never get the START MENU to stay up long enough to get to the item I want. Bill
I created a custom PE using the 19041 ADK-PE, and even when setting the system date one year ahead, it still boots OK. This used to be a sure-fire test to check if it was RTM or not, but over the last few years nothing is certain anymore with Microsoft... (Usually, a preview PE expires, so setting the date ahead restults in an error on first boot). Still, nice to have a shiny new ADK PE, at least it's not the boring old 18363(=18362) anymore. From a first quick test all my favorite PE tools (disk imagers, etc.) seem to work OK, so thank you Microsoft for not screwing things up too badly this time. Thanks to ENTST for the heads up on the live ADK links.
I am now getting beeping from the system speaker every time I click the mouse on the Start Menu. Rebooted and shutdown system with no effect. Has anyone else experience mouse issues with this build??
Guys/Gals, I've got a question but please forgive me since I have not followed the development of 20H1 as closely as I followed previously. Does anyone know what happened to the Power Options from Control Panel? Specifically, within Power Options, I am missing all of the options for Lid Close, Power button, Sleep button, etc. all the critical stuff needed for a laptop. Surely it's been moved somewhere else, but I haven't followed closely enough. If someone can point me in the right direction that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! EDIT: Nevermind, I found it. Microsoft moved those settings. Cheers!
The SDK download appears to be down at the moment. The TechBench error says: Is this likely a temporary glitch?
