I did a fresh install of 19041.84 and the only difference i can tell from .21 install is. They added a OneNote Device as a printer? and the latest AMD Chipset drivers, installed them and after the visual c++ libraries are installed the installer terminates. A second run of the chipset driver and it continued. 19041.21 and .84 runs really good for me, the new GPU scheduling is fantastic! and you can tell the difference in a huge way to the responsiveness of the computer. It's really nice. (450.12 non DCH)
Hello, guys. When trying to update from last stable built to Insider Version 2004, I get Error 0xc1900404. Deleted and reset update, run dsim restore health, sfc - all came out error free. Any ideas?
Yes, I saw this, but makes no sense to me, this particular error. I see in another forum that a lot of people are getting the same error when trying to update to this build. As they are also reporting that there's no problem with the fast release ring, is there a way to update to fast release built and then go back to slow?
This is what I got from Windows update log, just the lines directly linked to the update failure: DownloadManager GenerateDownloadRequest returned WU_E_OPERATIONINPROGRESS for update 3DB1DB4F-F77D-416B-B876-940726AD37CF.1. 2020/02/13 14:07:14.2625460 7128 2576 DownloadManager Subscribing to GDR Retry due to async handler trigger. 2020/02/13 14:07:14.2754318 7128 1508 SLS Get response for service 9482F4B4-E343-43B6-B170-9A65BC822C77 - forceExpire[False] asyncRefreshOnExpiry[False] 2020/02/13 14:07:14.3980957 7128 1504 DownloadManager Generating download request for update 3DB1DB4F-F77D-416B-B876-940726AD37CF.1. 2020/02/13 14:07:14.4267272 7128 1504 DownloadManager Calling into handler 0xc to generate download request for update 3DB1DB4F-F77D-416B-B876-940726AD37CF.1. 2020/02/13 14:07:14.4267398 7128 1504 Handler *FAILED* [C1900404] UUP GDR: Completed 2020/02/13 14:07:14.4296443 7128 1504 DownloadManager *FAILED* [C1900404] GDR 2020/02/13 14:07:14.5834697 7128 1504 DownloadManager *FAILED* [C1900404] Error occurred while downloading update 3DB1DB4F-F77D-416B-B876-940726AD37CF.1; notifying dependent calls. 2020/02/13 14:07:14.6539483 7128 1508 DownloadManager * END * Download Call Complete. I fixed this situation with admin command prompt with C: CHKDSK /F /R /X. I just ran that on every drive. Caution if you have lots of TB's expect it to take a long time.
