Can someone answer why 21H1 version have 18 months support lifecycle for all editions instead of same support system like it is for 20H2 (18 months for Home & Pro variants and 30 months for Enterprise & Education) since this is second small update of 2004 version?
H1 versions get 18 months support for all edition H2 versions get 30 month for Enterprise/Education 21H1 being variant of 2004 does not change that, officially
I think there was an announcement a while ago that Enterprise versions released H1 are treated differently than versions released H2 which have longer support. I am not completely familiar with the lifecycle for the other editions, but I believe they all have the same support lifecycle. Microsoft is not likely to make differences like we do based on the way each release is upgraded, i.e. minor, major for the simple reason that the support lifecycle is a business decision and not a technical one. However the support for Windows 10 is a fluid area and is possible to change at any time without any notice.
