Have install.wim with customized image. Integrate monthly CUs to it and do resetbase. Don't have NETFX in it cause it breaks resetbase. Q: Any way to add SxS to WIM, so it is not "enabled" but is a part of OS SxS after install, so no need in ISO or internet. But still be able to do monthly CUs and resetbase.
Pre-enabling dotnetfx35 doesn't break resetbase, it's sets the pending flag prohibiting to do an offline cleanup/resetbase, once installed the pending flag is gone and you cleanup in anyway you want. To enable dotnetfx35 online (when the OS is installed) you can run this in an elevated cmd: Code: DISM /online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:NetFx3 /All /LimitAccess /Source:X:\sources\sxs\ X being the ISO/DVD/USB media driveletter (any original ISO will have the sxs folder containing the ondemand cab. And in most cases the LCU will be re-offered on WU after enabling dotnetfx35.
And if I unpack the CAB in WinSxS folder - 1) Would I be able to just add 3.5 via UI without PowerShell, Internet or ISO? 2) Would NET CUs apply to that SxS?

Hi, Can i add additional updates (Like .NET Framework) into the "uup-converter" tool folder "UUPs" or do i have to use the "W10UI" tool for that?
Will the "defender-dism-x86.cab" update also be correctly integrated with the "uup-converter" tool when i put it into the "UUPs" folder?
I believe that 21H1 will be released tomorrow, at least for Visual studio subscribers and at the end of the month for the general public.
true release only twice a year June and December And Microsoft will switch to Windows 10 updates once a year instead of the previous releases twice a year.
unfortunately it seems this year isnt following suit. there will more than likely just be another minor release this spring, such as there has been with these "enablement packages" and then the only major OS release for us this year will be sun valley. it's gunna be big though. they're putting a lot of resources into building this monster.
