    Different Enablement Packages. The CU's for 19041, 42, 43 & 44 are the same.

    It's been done before without success. Windows 8 was a fiasco.

    Be careful with this update because 19041.1147 and 19041.1149 are the same KB5004296.
    The newer LCU is slightly smaller.

    But everything they took out of Win 8, they added back with Win 8.1. I loved Win 8.1.

    A lot of people loved 8.1. I'm used the transition to Windows 8 as just an example of where MSFT is capable of taking Windows. My concern is with the Windows 11 hardware requirements and the direction that appears to be taking Windows now. There's plenty of discussion about that in the Window 11 threads, so I don't want to get off topic with Windows 8, 8.1, and 11.

    my surface rt 8.1 don't love without updates to win 10/11 as that still supported to 2023 but went SOL long ago :(

    wifi 22.70 out for some but mainly killer and latest probably 11th/10th gen intel wifi

    tried two times to install this via the CAB downloaded from up over 19044.1147, no success, anyone successfully updated from 19044.1147 to 1149 with the CAB via DISM?

    This update is far away from RP more like Beta, but there is no Beta channel anymore.
